The 2026 Rooster Cup Lakes Trophy is set to take place April 4-6, 2026, in Meudon, France, at the Ice skating rink of Meudon.

It will feature the Singles and Pair Skating (Novice) disciplines and will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations, and relevant ISU Communications.

Time Schedule
(Local Time, UTC +02:00)

The 2026 Rooster Cup / Lakes Trophy starts in the Interclub part of the event, the Lakes Trophy, with a Cubs FS double bill. Then we cross over to the ISU part of the event, the Rooster Cup, for an Advanced Novice SP double-bill. Then we return to the Lakes Trophy for a Junior FS double-bill to finish the day (it doesn't say, but I take it these are Junior B skaters, because there isn't an SP competition).

But we start with the Cubs skaters: 1 boy, followed by 17 girls. Probably needless to say, but the boy is doing his Warm-Up alongside the first 5 girls.

Livestream for the Cubs FS competitions is now on air

Here is the link for today's stream:

I'm currently eating my breakfast, and so will be drifting behind during the Cubs as I pop back and forth to the kitchen. But, I should get caught up again at the resurfcaing.

Hope this helps

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

Erm, where's the sound?

I hope we get some after the Warm-Up finishes. Otherwise, I'm off.

It's just not the same watching skating in silence.

Well, I take it that the boy was skating to Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound Of Silence". Because we got sound when the first girl did her programme.

The picture went blank a couple of times during the boy's programme. Hopefully that was just teething problems at the start of the event.

Now that we do have sound, I'll stick around.

I've just reached the end of Group 2, and it was lovely seeing the Lungu girls going back-to-back. I don't know for sure, but after seeing how alike they are, I reckon that they are twins.

Unfortunately, there seemed to be camera issues, because for most of Juliette's programme we were on the static camera in the stands, and we didn't go to the camera in the results area at all. And during Chloe's programme, although we did have the full compliment of cameras, the main one went blank for a few seconds during the programme.

I had been hoping to see them sitting together after Chloe skated, but there was nobody in the results area.

The first of them to skate, Juliette, went into what was then 3rd postition, but was pushed down to 4th position when the second of them, Chloe, went into 2nd position.

A bit of drama in Group 3. #14 NAGY ROZSNYAI Lotti (ROU) was not there (sorry @sissy7 that your local skater was a withdrawal), and there were major music issues for the next skater, #15 Charlotte GARLEANU (FRA), which took a VERY long time to sort out.

At first, I just assumed they were attempting to play the missing skater's music. But, surely that could have been rectified quite quickly.

When she did eventually get underway, Garleanu was good. And I loved her music (a song that sounded typical of 1960's French music).

She went into 4th position.

Well, I didn't quite get caught up in time for the start of the ISU part of the event. I am currently 5 minutes behind.

Advanced Novice Men's SP on now.

I take it Gabin TÉLÉMAQUE (FRA) is the brother of Pairs Skater Romane TÉLÉMAQUE. Well, he had Romane's Mum, Emilie, sitting with him anyway.

He went into 2nd position.

Resurfacing now. And then a wait, because the girls are not due to start until 10 minutes to the hour.

Advanced Novice Ladies SP starting now.

It's a bit of a wait until the girls representing Ireland come on. The French-Irish girl, #18 Lexie GRAHAM, skates in Group 4. And the Finnish-Irish girl, #22 Caoilfhionn KAVANAGH, skates in Group 5.

I realise that there is a lot of illusion mesh, but that dress that #15 Naomi GUYOT (FRA) is wearing is rather minimalist for a 14 year old. It looks like a very skimpy bra and a skirt.

That said, it is a beautiful colour (deep magenta) and it fits the Egyptian theme of the programme.

I've commented this about Naomi before, but I wonder if she is related to Christophe Guyot, the former motorbike racer and current team owner.

She goes into 11th position.

Think this is the first time I'll see Lexie GRAHAM (County Carlow)

☘️ ALL THE BEST LEXIE!!! ☘️

CaroLiza_fan

Lexie gave us a lesson in how to let people know that you're actually from France without telling them that you're actually from France.

She's from Albertville, so she's not local to here (Meudin is a suburb of Paris).

Lexie is wearing a black and white horizonal striped top, red braces and gloves, and a very dark blue skirt. And skating to very French music that I've seen skated to many times, but can't remember what it is called! :drama:

Pity about the fall.

She goes into 18th and last position.

I have seen Caoilfhionn KAVANAGH (County Louth) before, but it was when she was much younger, skating in Finland.

☘️ ALL THE BEST CAOILFHIONN!!! ☘️

CaroLiza_fan

Caoilfhionn wearing a gold dress, and skating to "Last Dance" by Donna Summer.

Wow! I would never have recognised her. Last time I saw her she looked like a typical Finnish little girl. If it weren't for her name, you wouldn't have known that she had foreign heritage. But now that she is getting older, it is starting to come through.

That was great! I really enjoyed that programme!

She goes into 19th position, two positions and 5.05 points ahead of Lexie.

Boys, but you would just know that Caline REPOND (CHE) is Kimmy's sister! She looks so much like her!

Doing a "Dune" programme.

Big hugs with sister Jérômie on the sofa.

She goes into 4th position.

Big smiles from both sisters.

They've come back early. The first group of Juniors are already on the ice doing their Warm-Up (they're not supposed to be on until quarter past the hour!)

As I said earlier, the Juniors are in the Interclub part of the event. And although it doesn't specify it in the schedule, since they only have a Free Skate competition, I assume that these are the Junior B skaters rather than the Junior A skaters.

We were supposed to have 29 girls, followed by 3 boys. But, we have already lost one girl and one boy. So, it remains to be seen how many we actually have skating.

But, with them starting 10 minutes early, it is looking good for today's action to be over before I leave for my evening meal.

CaroLiza_fan

That was amusing.

The sofa in the results area is very big. So, Ayla KADRIBASIC (BIH) decided to make the most of it and had a lie down while waiting for her scores!

She goes into 3rd position.

CaroLiza_fan

We're 7 hours into the event, and I only noticed there now that there are trains going past the window!

I wonder if having a railway line right next to the building causes any problems. Do the trains going by cause vibrations on the ice? I was going to ask if the noise drowns out the music, but I haven't heard them yet today, so I assume that is not an issue.

You can tell that the railway lines in my part of Northern Ireland closed before I was born, can't you!

(I wish they would re-open. My town was the terminus of two different lines, so we were very well connected!)

Group 3 skaters now on the ice for their Warm-Up.

We already know that this is a shorter group than originally intended, as skater #15 Olivia PONCHAUT-THERY (FRA) withdrew early enough for the Time Schedule to be amended.
