The trees in the back yard stood up, the stream at the edge of the property did not over flow. The roofer checked and nothing is leaking.
We were out of electricity for a day, fortunately the basement did not flood even though the sump pump quit working.
Off topic, I think the utility companies should rethink their way of delivering the power. I am willing to pay some extra for them to put the power lines under ground. Hanging power lines on poles (this technology or lack of is close to 100 years old) subject to wind, ice, fallen trees during a storm is ridiculous. In addition to power outage inconvenience, live wires can electricute people. Power outage -> traffic lights -> potentially dangerous situation.
