When you focus too much, you become ‘blind.’ It is important to create your own world (on ice), yet at the same time keep your attention on the surroundings. Though it might not be appropriate to say ‘(that the accident was) a learning experience,’ you need to keep in mind that getting injured might ruin everything. This is not the end of the world, so I’d like him to take a rest. I hope he doesn't push himself to compete at NHK Trophy. He might feel okay now, but he could have an aftereffect some time later. He has plenty of time until the next Olympics.

Editing to add more info: he volunteered to teach the kids along with Takeshi Honda and Utako Nagamitsu. He started to practice again in November after staying away from the ice for two months, and he is preparing for the winter ice shows.

Have any of these episodes been translated yet? Either way, I'm enjoying them lots even when I don't understand what they're saying.

Asked about Yuzuru, he said if his body is healed enough so he can compete he will cheer him on and wish him good luck but if not he thinks he should be stopped. The reporters further asked if he has a lover but he denied and apologized he has no good story to tell. :laugh:

I echo his feelings about Yuzuru's participation in NHK. It still feels strange to me that Daisuke and Mao won't be there...

Thank you for the Nutcracker links, Ioanap. I'm so glad that Daisuke is enjoying himself and attending dance performances. He looks amazing in those poses.

I agree with you, Maria Victoria. I wish Yuzuru would listen to Daisuke's words of wisdom and not compete until his body is fully recovered. It will be very strange to not see Daisuke and Mao at the NHK. It has already felt odd not to see them in other competitions but the NHK will be the saddest for me.

More info from today's Nutcracker event: Dai said he wishes to stay away from figure skating for a year as soon as he's done with the winter ice shows.

Oh no, it means no ice shows this January and during the summer. I hope he earned enough to keep him comfortable for a year.

Also from what I've read on twitter, Daisuke Murakami's SP was intended to be a tribute to Dai and this is why he chose Tango de Roxanne. What a tribute it was!
