They comepletely lack presentation, but technically a decent skate. She seems relieved after their skate
FS: 48.35+41.62 = 89.97, 139.95, into 2nd (out of 2)
They stayed on their feet, but for me that was about it. I'm also noticing their TES has dropped about 7 points since they ended the program, and they are still reviewing things.
I do think they have potential, they seem well matched matched height wise and she especially has some style to her. But as a whole, they are not very finished or polished in their elements.
89.97 for a total of 139.95. Into second. Purich and Tran will move up at least one spot.
She's in black low-cut dress. He's in black pants, white shirt, black butterfly
3Tw - low, crashy catch
3T+2T - he twofoots 3T, she only adds +1T
2A - she has hand down, very low, almost fall

Bit sad skate, every element looked laboured to them. I agree that they won't have a big future due to lack of decent height difference.
FS: 42.67+46.35-1.00 = 88.02, 139.99, in 2nd (out of 3)
Tough skate for Purdy and Marinaro. She had a lot of trouble on the side by side elements at the beginning. From there I thought it looked like they were getting stronger, they did the first throw quite nicely, but then they had an almost disaster on one of the lifts and they had to abort it, and that seemed to just knock the sails out of the rest of the skate.
1. Purich and Tran
2. Purdy and Marinaro
3. Wang and Zhang
Good for Purich and Tran for climbing up out of last. Even though it looks like they didn't have a particularly stellar skate, Mervin said that the score was "pretty much what (he) expected".
Here's hoping the next group is able to make some large strides and wake this event up!
She's in blue, red and white Russian folk dress. He's in black pants, red Russian folk shirt.

Strong skate jam-packed with difficulty. The both fist pump! Sad this won't be in Sochi because it really deserves to...
FS: 72.90+64.24 = 137.14 (PB), 212.40 (PB), into 1st (out of 4)
137+ Gosh it is a total bummer these two aren't going to Sochi. Oh well, take your 4CC championship and enjoy! (I mean I don't think any of the U.S. Pairs can come close, honestly).
TERRIFIC skate by Sui and Han. I feel like this was such a great vehicle for them. Youthful and virtuosic. What a shame that they won't be at the Olympics.
Ok skate by Denney and Frazier. Some really really nice lifts. A little trouble on the side by side jumps and a fall on the first throw, but other than that, great speed throughout and they finished really strong. The throws don't have a lot of pop which I think holds them back.
She's in cream white dress. He's in black pants, burgundy vest over white shirt
3Tw - nice height
3FTh - maybe twofooted
3S - he doubles
2A - she stepouts, he does 2A<< fall
BoDs - bit shaky exit
3LoTh - twofooted, stepout

Bit of deflated skate with lots of mistakes. They'll probably still stay in 2nd
FS: 50.76+54.55-1.00 = 104.31, 170.35, in 2nd (out of 6)
Looks like Purich & Tran are going to move up a couple of spots. Kind of hard to believe how low Tran is in the standings considering he was a World bronze medalist only a few years ago with his former partner.
As for Purdy & Marinaro, he does indeed look like he could be Craig Buntin's brother.
The jumps gave them a lot of trouble, but the rest of their qualities are still so nice. I kind of want them to switch coaches to someone whose taste is a little more sophisticated, and can offer them a more striking, defined polish.
