Yes! I enjoy their skating. I noticed they are not competing at nationals, but competed earlier in the season. I wonder if there is an injury to blame.

I apologize for not communicating the following message sooner. The message is from my son, Daniel.

I am pleased to announce, I have completed a non-invasive medical treatment related to the Sport Hernia's repair that I underwent February 2016. I initially postponed this treatment plan until after the 2017 US Figure Skating Championship, but with the recent partnership breakup I was able to undergo treatment sooner. First, I want to thank God for continued support and guidance, my parents, family and friends for supporting me, Danielle for the amazing journey last year and my fans please know I WILL BE BACK. I also want to thank USFSA for all their support, particularly Mitch Moyer, Sr. Director, Athlete High Performance, Peter Zapalo, Sports Sciences and Medicine Director, Dr. Roger Kruse, Team Physician for US Olympic Team and Dr. William Brown, Surgeon Sports Hernia Specialist, San Jose, CA. Last, I want to wish all my teammates and TEAM USA best of luck at Nationals, have fun, be safe. Daniel Eaton

Those attending US Nationals, have fun be safe.

Thank you,

Turbo-mom (aka Annemarie)

Thank you so much for the update, Turbo-Mom.

On the one hand, I'm really sorry to hear that D[SUP]2[/SUP] have split.

But on the other hand, I am glad that this means that Daniel can now take the time to get the treatment he needed for his injuries.

As Daniel's mother, I am sure you know how hard it is for an athlete to admit that they would be better to sit out a few months and get everything sorted. They don't want to miss out on any opportunity to compete.

But, although splitting with your partner is never ideal, it may work out to be to Daniel's benefit in the long run. Because he will come back fitter and stronger than ever.

I wish Danielle and Daniel all the best for their respective futures.

Thank you CaroLiza_fan for your insightful words, I can't thank you enough. We keep reminding ourselves that there are reasons for everything in this world. God has a plan for each of us. At times we loose sight of that. When that happens we take a step forward, thank God for his direction and begin again, that is what Daniel and the family is doing. Throughout this next journey Daniel undertakes he will update his progress and plans through social media.

Take care, Have a safe peaceful Year.
