I will let who knows Japanese to properly translate this, but from what I got from google translation it seems Yuzu is still in Canada (no news here), still undergoing treatments and that his return to Japan has not been set yet. Not sure about the source of the news (Ms Kobayashi? Or are they quoting her from last April?)

This article shows the following new statement of Kobayashi today (25th may).
“Still he’s under treatment in Toronto. Any outlook for him to come back to Japan cant be seen.”

He isnt back on the ice... :sad21:

Thanks! Sad to hear he's still not on the ice but... but... He takes the treatment very seriously which is very professional. Last season he only tortured that poor foot so he has to be very patient to let it heal properly. I guess we could send more messages to Toronto Cricket Club to support Yuzuru. He should know we still support him and care about him and he shouldn't be sad. Just please it does not mean stalking him, whoever got that idea, please don't. I'm sure he misses the ice like hell right now.

Thank you everyone for the news report. Sad to know he can't be on the ice yet, but it's for the best, summer is long and he still has a lot of time left to catch up. :yay: I just hope he's not missing home too much, he usually doesn't spend so much time outside of Japan during the off season.

I'm afraid his injury is more serious than i imagined. 2 months... Is this the longest term he's away from ice in recent years?
His body can stand for the remaining 2 years till 2018?:hopelessness:

Thank you for the update and translation everyone! :thank:

Reading the news, it does seem very little information and detail about his current condition is given (and nothing really new we don't know yet, really. Yes we knew he was in Toronto for treatment and that he won't be back to Japan soon considering his condition). Did the news mention he is not back on the ice yet? Or just that he is still receiving treatment? (Though I would not expect him to be back on the ice yet anytime soon, since he probably has to go through some physical therapy before he can start skating)

He had been away from the ice for more than 2months after the Worlds 2013 (He took rest from mid March to probably around the last week of May, when he said to start the preparation for Art on Ice 2013 held on the beginning of June.) and won the OGM next year. I don’t know whether the situation is more serious this time or not, but I’m sure he knows how to handle his injured body and how to resume training after long rest. So let’s stay positive and wait for some good news. :)

I wish him get well and be able to enjoy skating soon.

the latter. They say just he's under treatment and dont clear if he's back on ice. I assumed he was not...

He took such long rest after that 2013!
It relieved me so much! :)

He injured his left knee and ankle back then, and did not participate in worlds 2013 gala and WTT.

I just hope he recover well and not rush into training. Meanwhile Jeff B. is in Japan. Looks like no choreography works if he is doing a program for Yuzu in next couple of weeks?? A lot of uncertainty right now :sad46:

Is he the choreographer for faoi? Means he will stay until late June/early July right? Yuzu is still in recovery anyway and also no news who he will work with yet.

I'm not sure whether Jeff is the choreographer for faoi. At the back of my mind I'm concern if by the time he recovers to start choreo or be on ice again whether his visa will expire :hopelessness:.

Ok I need to concentrate on things that I can control which is got to be strong and send him lots of positive thoughts and prayers....everything is going to be OK

I see. I have no clue about his visa condition. However, if what indeed has been speculated about his visa condition is true (that he can only stay for 6 months then can't comeback for 2 months), by right he should not be able to return to Toronto after worlds in boston right? So he probably already have an arrangement planned?

Perhaps Yuzu is using this time to pick the music, and w/o it there isn't really much Jeff can do atm, assuming he will be his choreographer this year too

Or maybe he is getting the work permit that's why he is staying in Canada for so long? Is that possible?
