Someone here said she saw it was mentioned in the facebook group that Yuzu has started on ice training based on a magazine article. I saw that comment in facebook too. However, the magazine source was unknown (i.e. not mentioned) thus; it could not be verified for accuracy which is why I would not use that info. I remembered Hanmgse also ask for the source of the magazine/article when it was first mentioned here.

Edit: I've checked with the fan that mentioned that in facebook. She said she cannot recall where she read it and also not sure if she understood the Japanese properly. It was a bit vague and that was why she did not make a post and translate it properly (she only commented on someone else's post). She said she may have misunderstood it.

------

In regards to the injury, I would consider this injury to be worst than his surgery and recuperation for the bladder urachus as this one directly impact his skating and long term usage of the foot (for skating).

He did start rehab. If he already started rehab, I think he would be on ice shortly. If he doesn't go on ice, the rehab wouldn't be any different from his regular treatment and rest/muscle training. Surgery is the last resort. As long as the injury does not require surgery, I think the injury is manageable with treatment and rest and he will be fully recovered within a reasonable time frame.

NEWS

New article or interview saying by mid May his leg still hurt so the treatment continues. I hope he is better by now.
Thanks for the info!
The twitter is talking about the new magazine "Figure skating Life vol 6" which cover alia posted today. Further the comment says he wasnt on back on the ice at the middle of May and he just started his rehabilitation at that time...I'll confirm the magazine on may way home, but his conditition seems more serious...

About “Blue flame II”
From blog of Chief Editor, Takanobu Kobayashi:http://ameblo.jp/takanobu-kobayashi/entry-12167985055.html

"It took 4 years since the first book.
We’ve covered him in detail and made this new book.
I’ve watched all of people worked for the book and the editor in charge and their passion and effort are really respectable.

whether he is in good shape or bad, he spared his time for the book and talked about his thoughts sincerely and honestly.

We have confidence in the book. He himself states “this book has everything about me.”

Further, he responded to the things which he’d never talked about.
This book describes Hanyu Yuzuru not as a generous skater and a king but as a young man in his 20s."

Another information says this book has 288p. The first book has 167p, so 120p over are added. But even with the increased pages, the whole pages seem to be insufficient to cram into his 4 years history where too many things happened…

FaOI finally confirmed that Yuzuru will not attend the rest of FaOI shows in Kobe and Nagano since he is still under medical treatment from his lisfranc ligament injury. (I checked this based on google trans)
http://www.fantasy-on-ice.com/skatersinfo.html

He would like to heal his injury and join the cast of the second half of FaOI. However, his recovery condition is not as desirable as expected, - as the message says

Yuzuru is officially out from DOI too.
http://onice.jp/
I can't open the page now but I saw a screenshot of it and it said pretty much the same thing as the announcement from FaOI.

Sending positive thoughts and wish for a full recovery.

Unbelievable details of this Yuzu's bag and cards made by this fan for FaOI Kobe souvenirs

Sorry, if already posted.

Yuzuru's message read by the MC, and Ballad No. 1 played by Fukuma san in FaOI Sapporo.

=>
I think this was the video I saw posted in The Edge, according to the commentator Yuzu is her favorite skater.

Speaking of that, I imagine you already know this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcpVgaq202o#t=0m51s

If not, it is nice to see because it is an enthusiastic, and in some extent funny, video of a Spanish fan of Yuzuru, with his personal commentary mixed in Spanish and English, and subtitles in English (unfortunately the quality of the video is low, and some 30 seconds of the music right after the beginning of the program are missing).

Pianist, Kotaro Fukuma-san is invited as a guest musician at all FaOI 2016.
Recently he mentioned to yuzu in his Instagram about FaOI.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BGWMR6IhXM3/

“As per the proposal of the organizer, I played the arranged version of Ballade No.1 by Chopin according to the last season’s SP of Yuzuru Hanyu san unable to appear for his injury, as a special program for the audience coming to the show. I wou.d love to show my deep gratitude to yuzu-kun who gave me a big chance at FaOI Kobe last year and his fans who came to know about me by that incident. I’m waiting the day when yuzu-kun’s pain will be healed and he’ll show brilliant performances again.”

As for last year’s FaOI in Kobe, Fukuma-san wrote a long text about it in English in his Facebook last summer(please scroll down), which really shows yuzu’s characters.

Yuzu’s photo (like a rock star!) https://www.facebook.com/plugins/po...id=177068115663755&substory_index=0&width=500

About FaOI in Makuhari 2016, where Fukuma-san did the collaboration with yuzu in the video of GPF final, BS TV aired one part of the show the other day, but it did not include the performance.
FaOI in Makuhari is scheduled to be aired again as a perfect and longer version in July. So we may see the scene there.

Yes, Mrs Kobayashi has been accompanying Yuzu and the Japanese skaters since they were young to almost every competition. The priceless photo and reaction again...it was indeed the photo that wins the Olympics
Ms.Kobayashi is a "mother" of skaters. A yuzu fan met her at an oversea competition and said thank you for her dedication for skaters. So she replied, "My pleasure. We are "okan" ("okan" is one of the Japanese names for mother. it's unsofisticated and intimate.) of skaters!". I truly like this episode.

Come on, black and dark Yuzuru

This tweeter's recommendation is, Schubert - Der Erlkönig, Zigeunerweisen, Moonlight Sonata 3rd mov, etc.

This Yuzuru is so cool too

Really want to know at least the music he has chosen. Somebody, give us clues

Some might remember that I once posted here that I wanted to see Yuzuru with a shaman like costume. I believe that dream of mine has come true with SEIMEI So, please God, next my dream is Yuzuru in black

When I heard the next FS of Shoma was Piazzolla, I thought of "Oblivion" with Kremer (Homage a Piazzolla) for Yuzuru.

How it would be nice

Sorry, guys. My days without any news these days are passing like this with wishes, imaginations, illusions and so on.

As Yuzu is healing, may he feel the warmth and love from all who care about him. Best wishes that he will soon be back to doing all the things he loves.

A couple of weeks ago we talked about lovely Japanese fans who gave away Yuzu's clear files and souvenirs to other fans. Yesterday, I received these gifts from the lovely Yuri (I included pages from the Number magazine). I just couldn't thank her enough.

One of my most poignant pictures of Yuzu is the 16yo Yuzu looking up as he was about to enter the rink with Kenji looking down behind him at the 2011 earthquake charity ice show....symbolizing in the time of sadness there is a great hope for the future.

TRANSLATIONS

English translation of Italian ESP commentary of Yuzu's LP at NHK. Thanks to Lys Alton, Carolina Corsali @YHIFG FB for the translation & Elena Costa for the video.

Note: Due to the original video by ESP has a delay, the sound is slightly delayed to the visual.

Commentators are Massimiliano Ambesi (white): winter sports journalist and Angelo Dolfini (green): former figure skater. If video is blocked for some countries due to music copyright by Sony please try to use HOLA to see it.

I think this it has not been posted here yet: https://youtu.be/zuYJjQY4vb0

It's the video of Yuzuru SP at the GPF 2015 by Italian Eurosport with English subtitles. I don't know if the translation has been made by Lys Alton and Carolina Corsali like those for the NHK Trophy but it could be probable for the latter because it is written "Translation done by Caro & I.".
The video is from the channel of Elena Costa (i.e. Elena C), that Ilariaxyz linked on youtube.

Commentators are Massimiliano Ambesi (white): winter sports journalist and Angelo Dolfini (green) as usual.

Please note that due to the original video by ESP, sound may be slightly delayed.

Good week (and with some news about Yuzuru health and programmes, we hope

I can only find this clip for now, there was a slightly longer footage which I've seen where he was coming down the van into the hotel. Cannot recall whether this was at Worlds.

Thanks! :)

Yes he has improved indeed!

I slowed down the Requiem at Worlds because every single movement was gorgeous . He was performing with his whole body, the expressions of his face, his body, his arms and his fingers...it was magical. He was literally floating...it was graceful, elegant, emotional and yet powerful.

Today, I found another Requiem fancam from another angle :luv17: (though not full performance).

Or he just drops some hints and then people start to read stuff into his words and then everybody freaks out because doomsday :roll9: the internet has a pattern

He probably will just say either "yuzuru is still recovering/under rehabilitation" or if yuzuru started skating he would say "he's started training".
I doubt it will be very much different than what ms. shirota or ms kobayashi has disclosed previously. If he wants to disclose details I am more interested about things related to his layout/program.

YES! a clue about the music he might use please

Let's hope the Japanese media corner him... and he is feeling chatty :p I think people would like any snippet of info they can get at the moment.

I read the interview of him right after the Worlds in this magazine ICE JEWELS recently at bookstore (sorry, I don’t buy it, since I keep from buying new magazines these days (since i had to throw away 30-40 magzines this spring.:drama:) . If I got it, I could make full translation.).
To read it, i came to love this performance more. He says his team greatly supported him after that loss of FP, and he felt he could start again. Next day was the exhibition. In his usual routine of exhibition practice, he tries to do many things, but this time, he really concentrated on what he should do for the ex only, and he prepared for it. He knew he couldn’t get on the ice for 2 months for the maintenance of his legs since then. One of the reasons we are impressed with this performance to such an extent is that he poured into so much, his heart, his gratitude (he talked substantially about the team's supports), his love for skate (since he wouldnt skate for 2 months after EX.) etc...
To read the interview, i thought as long as he has these attitudes and those who support him, he is all right. No wonder the Chinese girls cried so much to read the Chinese translation of this interview...

Further, there's another happy thing with this EX. He talked about the bad ice condition. The temperature of the rink was 4 Celsius at SP, but as many as 17 Celsius at FP! Patrick stated some arguments about the ice condition, and yuzu agreed with Patrick. the ice was disadvantages for the skates having great SS of deep edges. On that ice, if you get your edges deeper, you cant skate smoothlyl! He wanted to ask Tracy how to skate well on that type of ice. But finally, he found the way to skate on such an ice, and it was EX. He got over the ice. So he must have skated comfortably at EX with happiness of the fulfillment.:)

Anyway, he must get so much skting practice with Trasy this summer!

Thanks for the summary hamaguri! I have the same dilemma with the magazines, sometimes I even think about taking them apart and just keeping the pages I want and tossing the advertisements (although the thought of mutilating a magazine like that is awful).

Also interesting what he said about the ice temperature, I'm also glad that he didn't necessarily blame his performance on the ice and felt that he could overcome it during the exhibition (I wonder why it got that warm?). For now I guess we'll have to continue waiting patiently for news, although I feel once the first piece of news comes in it'll be like a damn breaking and we'll get bombarded with news clips or articles.

I remember seeing some pictures of Yuzu walking off the ice after FS and when he touched the ice and looked at it's condition I saw he felt sorry for the bad condition of it, he was disappointed with it's quality. And there were the videos (I don't recall which commentary was there, I think it was from a Japanese TV station) and even presenters wondered why the ice rink had huge puddle right before judges I think- I mean- when the skaters plan their program- it is directed towards the judges and most of the spectacular elements must have suffered from the bad ice for so many great skaters. The reason for the temperature to get so high was quite usual- Men FS had a huge attendance and the freezing and cooling system just could not manage the rink condition on the necessary quality level.
Throughout the years I've been watching the competitions and in quite a few venues even in Switzerland ice condition prevented many great skaters to skate up to their true potential. And ISU had never discussed this issue. Well, it's an issue and it's a serious one. I think that ice rinks which do not provide the good conditions for the skaters should get penalized for the bad ice condition on the competitions and the ice provided during the training sessions prior to the competitions. I mention last one because of the TEB GP (I think 2 seasons before) had some sort of muddy paint leftovers from some non figure skating events and girls felt like kamikaze going into the jumps, I think Trankov blamed the ice too. I mean- what do they expect from skaters- edge work when there is no quality surface for that work at all? Quality jumps in the puddles? Or do they expect skaters to invent new technique especially for the terrible ice? Don't they have enough trouble with injures, food poisoning and judges marks already? This seriously makes me mad.
