Maybe she does not feel the need to praise them because it is simply not necessary, their skating and results show them. If you notice, she always said wonders about Victoria and Nikita, same about Patrick, but look at them now, I mean, I love Patrick but his situation is very difficult. We don´t really know how is the relation of Maia and Alex with Marina, but she worked with them since Maia was a little girl, I am sure she is not indifferent toward them, she said it, she get specialists for them, and she got to Massimo, thanks God. I think that the Shibs are on a very good road, they have improved a lot. Also, I do not think they have a better option, Gadbois have to P/C and H/D and C/B already said they want to continue after 2018 so Igor is already busy. Camerlengo has had very poor results. Zhulin? no thanks. Morozov? God forbid it !!

Fortunately, the Shibs are the kind of people who do not allow their success depend on other people, even their coach. They have already realized that they can control their destiny because that is how success is achieved. If Marina really does not believe in them, kudos to Maia and Alex for coming so far on their own .

Plus Marina says that with V/M and D/W, she gave them the ideas, but with the Shibs, they are who give her the ideas, so I guess is easier to be more enthusiastic about your ideas than the ideas of other person. IMO both SD and FD of Maia and Alex are better programs than the programs of D/W and V/M in Sochi.

Yeah you're right they don't have many options at least they have the freedom to choose their programs and they get to work with different professionals, they had really good results over the past two years so it's a win win situation :) I should not make assumptions everything seems ok :scratch2:

Maia and Alex often hint how dedicated #Shibsquad fans can hunt for "Easter eggs" in their programs, their music, and it would appear also in their social media posts. You can go back and find how they tagged Ralph Lauren going back to even before they showed up on the red carpet at the Academy Awards last spring. So then, scrolling back to these posts of their adorable dogs Lily and Po, the #busyday seems like it could have been from a photo shoot for the Milkbones campaign.

Maia and Alex are smart enough to know that their success lies in their own hands and is not isolated to winning an Olympic medal. They have worked hard to "brand" themselves as smart, hip young adults who happen to ice dance really well. This will take them further than any medal into a variety of entrepreneurial and philanthropic arenas. They get that there is life after skating!

As for Marina - she's Russian. She is direct and does not sugar-coat comments. She works with skaters to see beautiful skating not to strategize medals.
 
I dreamed today about Maia and Alex. Precisely, their SD at Olympics. And I remember their score - it was 81,53 pts:cheer: (needless to say, they were very happy, so was I :laugh:)

oh no!! Now I feel like a bad fan of the Shibs, I've never dreamed about them. But I love your dream and I hope that in Skate America that score will be real. Yuzuru´s situation reminded me of be grateful that they are healthy and able to perform like only they know do it, regardless the score.

no, you're never a bad fan! Shibutanis have no bad fans!:)

the weird thing was that I remembered that exact score so well after waking up...but regardless of the score - I'm grateful too that they are healthy, ready and roaring towards Skate America:)

not dreaming about them is NOT a bad thing trust me I have woken up after dreams about them in incredibly odd scenarios and my reactions were like "......what"

I had a dream that they completely changed their SD and the result was terrible and I woke up so horrified 🙈

Oh my god honestly one of my dreams was that they messed up their SD at rostelecom cup and their result was so bad (this was months before Rostelecom actually happened) and I was a shaking mess throughout their actual SD lmao
