Who, in your mind, should have one the 88 olympics in pairs, the reining oly. champs or the (then) up and commers G&G, or the lone americans, Watson and Oppegard

Gordeeva and Grinkov had great programmes (especially their SP to "March of the Toreadors" (?) from Carmen). They performed both beautifully. Flawless. Definitely deserved the win, IMO.

I wouldn't think there was any question, really about this one. G&G. But I am one of the only people who did not like the march of the toreadors, as a program (however, it still was the best performed SP of the night-I just dislike the program in concept, not in execution). dpp

I was wondering the same thing, dpp. If ever there was an uncontroversial decision in skating, this was it.
