I admit I find it somewhat pointless now when the whole 2 or 3 pages of discussion of European TV commentators live reactions to Shun Sato's score and placement was ... redacted? removed? Where I live we have a word for it but I guess I would rather not use it. ;)
And I do not like the assumption that commentators base their opinions on the tech box only. They are mostly experts, often former skaters or judges themselves. They have their own eyes to see and brains to judge and make conclusions.
Conspiracy theories? Someone must be joking
What was removed was your post (and subsequent responses) which started to derail the thread regarding the drama of another Olympic scandal.

Please see guidelines regarding board-dragging and conspiracy theories. There are other places you can do this.

Was watching team event day 2 and Ellie Kam & Danny O'Shea was poetry on ice, dynamic and wonderful ,Lia Pereira & Trennt Michaud was nice, classical in a way and nice . Sara Conti & Niccolo Macii was very italian, elegant and I liked it a lot too , Miura Riku & Kihara Ryuichi astonished me because was something more dynamic in their way and lyrical .

Sorry was a lot busy between work and trying to look where can I watch Olympics games because Chilevision never broadcasted it on air tv and well was watching from Canadian tv .

Danny O’Shea. Gold medalist and Olympic Champion. I have goosebumps.❤️❤️❤️⭐⭐⭐
Oh dear ... but aren't you forgetting that it's Ellie Kam and Danny O'Shea who helped win the gold medal and became Olympic Champions?

Not to mention that they wouldn't have won the gold without ALL the other USA team members skating the way they did.

Every time some interviewer asks Danny what's the difference, after all these years of competing in pairs, he gestures toward Ellie and says, "That one." :)

:ot: OT, but I just saw a new-to-me Olympic event (Germany won) modeled after the figure skating team idea.

It's the Luge Relay. One single woman, then a two-woman sled, then one man, then two men, total time wins. I guess luge doesn't have mixed doubles. :)

It was there already at previous games in 2022. I see it more modeled to track or swim races than figure skating. Figure skating team to me looks like gymnastics team event

Oh, please. There are enough jokes by sportswriters and humour columnists about the double luge event as it is. Don't give them more fuel :laugh3::laugh4:

I appreciate Danny's candor. Ellie may have a way to go with her throws but she is stellar in the lifts. She also needs some performance experience. But she is 21 and has tremendous possibilities! Danny's former partner Tarah Kane was very good but had significant injuries which hampered their progress. Danny seems fairly injury free, coming off a broken foot, but it's a lot to ask for him to maintain his current level through his late 30's. I'd love to see them find Ellie a new partner and have Danny mentor.
