Samsonov is a hell of a skater! When he's on the ice, you can't help but being completely fixated to every move he makes. I can't keep my fingers crossed hard enough that he has a smooth puberty (if there is such a thing...).
I like Egor a lot too and Max looks quite promising. Let's hear it for Team Tutberidze!

Very useful competition - it gives chance to compete internationally young skaters of Philippines, India, Thailand etc. etc., State of Kuwait and The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan too.

Russia - several teams of Asian regions and from Moscow (not Asia but nobody cares, skaters and spectators can see world top young skaters).

Korea sent strong skaters who got two medals (other four Moscow).

Japan participates in games and got 4 medals, but does not participate in figure skating. Why? Japan has a lot of strong skaters of any age.

Tom Zakrajsek also got a gold medal (in Russian tradition not only winner but coach of winner too is awarded by gold medal).

You has solid jumps, but a rather empty program. If one of 3A is injured for Junior Worlds, I wonder who they would pick between Kanysheva and Sinitsina? Both are so wonderful, the full package of jumps, polish etc. Nice for Tom! The venue is gorgeous.

Interesting to see skaters from non-ISU members, under the ISU rules it wouldn't have been possible for them to compete.
I've found an article about the jordan girl, she's living and training in Qatar. Jordania has probably no ice rink so it's impossible for this country to join the ISU, and Qatar is only a speed skating member. I don't know about the girl from Koweit, maybe a similar situation.

Turkmenistan seems to have skaters at recreational level since some years and a large ice hockey arena, but for a reason I don't know, never applied to join the ISU.

Sinitsyna was 4th at Junior Naionals so she is first substitute to JrWorlds.

Kanysheva was 11th at Junior Naionals (she was ill or so, skating non-typically bad for her) so she is not in substitute list to JrWorlds.

Kanysheva was 3d in the Junior Grand Prix, but I guess they don't take that into account. Anyway, she is very young, (13 still?)she ought to be a force next year as a Junior. Sinitsyna is just outstanding. I remember thinking she really should have been 3d at Junior Nationals. Before Junior Worlds, Young You needs to add some transitions, she has wonderful skills, but the program seems a bit unsophisticated to compete with the top girls.

Until recently/soon Ireland had no rink so having a rink isn’t a requirement. I think you have to pay to join like many organisations and a lot of countries would rather focus on other sports.

It's quite interesting that she returned to that program only at Bavarian Open last week (where she also won, by the way). Maybe she just feels better with it than with the new one, more sophisticated. Anyway, I like it very much, it's fresh, distinctive and suits her. And she's been getting still better scores for it, so maybe it's high quality performance what counts the most at the end of the day.

Nah, all she needs is to not fall during skate - that's all. I mean - just look at the protocols. Young You got almost 67 PCS score for her "empty program" while Sinitsina's sophisticated fp, full of transitions and fluid skating - deserved only 63  :palmf: That's all you need to know about how judges cares about transitions :confused2:

I believe You switched her free skate earlier in the season, after her JGPs.

Is there any complete transmission of the free programs in both boys and girls?

So far I have only been able to find the short program?
