Jason Brown is a gorgeous skater. And he nailed the 3A, too bad about the combo. Will lead, and by some margin I guess

*running around in circles shrieking* BEST YET! BEST YET! BEST YET! GO JASON!

Nice to see him land the 3A, but shame about the combo.

SP: 36.62 + 33.44 = 70.06 (SB) - solid score

Okay. I'm breathing again now.

The 3A was fantastic. He telegraphed it a bit, but once he was in the air I never doubted he would land it!

Shame about the combo...but lovely 3F.

I freaked a bit during his last spin, and I think he might have lost control of it a fraction in the layover. He just seemed too laid-over, like he was going to fall, and somehow he saved it, but I figured he might have messed it because his changes weren't with the music after that.

Anyway, he leads, and IMO, there's only one skater left who can take that from him, and that's Josh.

Brown's SP is just absolutely astounding. The attention to detail is incredible and the quality of everything he does is excellent.

Shame about the combo (his timing was a little late on the lutz) but still, this was a great performance. :)

And now stupid Eurosport is showing us repeat of Pairs SP instead of Samarin...

am I in error in thinking the set-up time for his 3x is a little too long?

You are right but considering this is a fairly new jump for him the most important thing is to land it. Which he did. Once he'll get more confident with the jump the set-up will probably be much shorter.
His PCS are to close compared to the rest IMO

am I in error in thinking the set-up time for his 3x is a little too long?

He does telegraph it a fair bit, but that's not unexpected when you consider how new the jump is for him. Once he nails it down firmly and is comfortable landing it, the entry will get shorter, and soon enough I imagine he'll start using some of the creative entries he used to have for his 2A.

Something did seem to go wrong with one of Jason's spins. Did he fall of an edge or something?

his pcs wasnt that good either, Kolyada is not a stable skater

looks like we might see a Top 3 all Ameircan Boys in the SP

I know you think it should have been petrov but kolyda won jr nationals and didn't do that bad!

NAILED IT! Great work Josh!

I can't see anyone else beating that!
