Yes because V/M have not won anything in the last four years?...no consistent excellence from them.

:rolleye:

No need to be offended. I only meant that D/W haven't been plagued with the injuries that have made these last few years hard for V/M.

Choppy twizzles and the transitions in the lifts weren't as smooth as i've seen it. 6th for P/B

Lots of little glitches in that though. And I still think the French just don't "get" rock n roll. But hey ymmv...

So I don't understand Ice Dancing much.. what is lacking in Shibutanis skating?

I'm not Dance specialist by all means, but apparently, they haven't been getting all of their levels. PCS wise, I think they deserved higher here (higher than I/K for sure)

Oh god, poor Nathalie and Fabian :( My sister said they were so slow during the spin that they looked like they were skating under water.

Hot darn. Charlie White definitely knows how to butter up a crowd. The Canadian audience is just eating it up!

C/L were robbed of the bronze. Oh well. B/S skated well so I dont have a big problem with them getting it. I think P/B might have slid out of contention for any Olympic medal with 3 much younger teams finishing above them in the standings, and not by virtue of a huge fall like 2011. Yeah they had limited time to prepare due to injury but W/P had much less and even they beat them.

Read in a Boston Globe article this morning that Meryl Davis is dyslexic and has no depth perception. Didn't know that. She doesn't like to talk about it and that's probably why it is news to a lot of us.

Yes, B&S won bronze! Ahhh, that made my day. The only discipline this time where the results mostly make sense

Anna and Luca lost a bronze by one point... and I think they were underscored, actually (but I don't know much about ice dance, so I'm not going to complain). Chock/Bates ended 6th. Shpilband REALLY did a good job for both his teams.

I agree with the placement (especially PB that low). Technically CL were better, but the choreo and BS programs are just stunning, CL were too ordinary in comparison with the top 3 innovative routines.
