Agreed with all who can't handle Kovtun's abysmal technique. He telegraphs like mad and takes off in the weirdest ways. SO irritating that he lands!

Proud of Javi for his comeback.

Despite his insane mash-up of 4 completely unrelated songs, I find Voronov wildly entertaining and kind of adorable as a personality.

I agree, Kovtun has bad technique and is not engaging as a performer at all

and I'm not a fan of Voronov's skating but I found his performance very enjoyable today!

The problem's with Kovtun's FS is that he ABSOLUTELY needs to hit all the quads and the 3As, to make it work. Out side of those four jumping passes, he does a 3T (as part of his 3A-3T) 3S and two lutes. He does not do a 3Lo and a 3F. Basically if he pops both quads and/or have problems with his axels, he doesn't much left technically, including his spins and steps.

Also he runs the risk of zayaking. For example if he popped that 4T into a 3T then does a 3A-3T, he would have lost all the points for that combination. Or the 4S pops into a 3S and he does a 3S later, while hitting two 3As and two 3Zs, agian he would zayak. (My hope he would have a backup plan to do 3A-2T, but that seems like a lot of thinking!)
