2014-2015 GPF Mens Free Skate 12/13

Someone on twitter pointed out that Ashley outscored Machida(as did Liza). Now I'm sad for Machida again...

Fair statement. They didn't say the greatest, and Yuzuru is only 20 and has won Olympics, Worlds, and 2x GPF.

Well I have always thought he might grow up to be one of the best mens.... secretly, since that young early teenage firebird in mushroom hair youtube clips years surfaced ago when he was still at Juniors, but to hear them pronouncing it out right is quite something! Did they ever say the same about Patrick too? (I think they should reserve comment until next year though depends on whether he win the worlds this year. As it is, I still think everyone is still under the shadow of Patrick Chan.)

Always thought Hanyu's spirit and sincerity in his skating (apart from tremendous tech) is what set himself apart, and it really carried him through this season of difficulties and tough decision making. I actually support him through his decision to skate after the clash, and respect it to be a personal choice, rather than the right and best choice. Who is the best to decide what is best for Hanyu other than Hanyu? It comes down to the essence of individual sport... if he hadn't risked it, will he be here today?

The one that made really crazy rules for the Grand Prix Predictions game. :)

Don't feel bad bellflower, I have screwed myself as well.

My pessimistic fan choices did work as I got 120 points in dance.

However, I definitely got zero points here.

I got 120 in dance as well, but a beautiful 0 here and in Pairs :laugh2: I repeat, we need a :hysterical:

I'm happy Voronov got his revenge after those SP scores. I just wish it hadn't come at Machida's expense.

Yeah i said that already a few post back too. Wonder what happened with Machida, he looks rather pale, wonder if he might be ill or something. Food poison?

He might be sick, idk. I don't think even pressure/mental issues would cause that kind of meltdown.

Unbelievably the pattern holds true again this year for Hanyu and Machida.
Hanyu peaks at GPF after a bad start, Machida bombs at GPF after a strong start to the season. hmm...is it just coincidence?
