2014 Japan Open

Oh that TES for Ashley - 41.82, even lower than Mirai's.. Under-rotation galore for both the american ladies?
Both Mirai and Ashley fell on the 3S and no 3-3 attempt for Ashley.

Oh no Ashley =( I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come, she's my favourite veteran in the ladies

I can't remember the last time Ashley had a score like that. 2009? Even without a triple-triple and with a fall! Did she also pop or mess up spins? Trying to wrap my head around this.

Wagner 100.99
3F,2A+3T,3S fall,FSSp4,FCCoSp2〜3
3Lo two foot,2A+SEQ,3Lz,StSq,3F+2T,CCoSp2

Fall, 2A+SEQ, and I do think she was having problems with her spins.

Murakami 114.38
3Lo,2A+3T
1F,3Lo two foot+2T,3F+2T+2Lo,2A,3S

^Ashley fell on the 3S, I'm guessing she also got an edge call on the 3Lz and some underrotations

Ashley fell on a spin?
She only fell once and it wasn't on the spin, but I think she was visibly struggling with them. What hurt more I think is she missed jumping entire jumping passes? Can someone who knows the correct rules of # of jumping passes please chime in lol.

Apparently the audience let out a typical Japanese "ehhhhhhh" when they saw her super low score.

She did 7 jumping passes, which is correct. Maybe there was a bunch of URs? Or she missed an entry, stroked around a little bit and tried again? Because that would nullify the jump.

We'll let's look on the bright side, at least this did not count. If you're going to get a bad score,, doing it here is not a bad thing. Let's hope she'll be in better shape a month from now.

Maybe she missed the 3Loop she usually does as part of her 2a sequence? I noticed she didn't repeat a second triple. that.S 5.61 points right there.

Ok...I misread Shingalas's report. Sorry about the spin snafu :slink:

Ohh, yeah sorry I didn't mean the livestream :rolleye:. I had read somewhere that it was aired at 16.00 in Japan?

Yeah ok, I thought it was 7 but I wasn't completely sure. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but the twitter account I was following said that "she was unable to catch up to her jumps" We shall find out soon enough.

I believe it will be aired in a few hours, this event isn't livestreamed
It's actually airing right now. If you use KeyholeTV you can tune into the TV Tokyo channel and watch a semi-crappy livestream lol. But youtube videos should be uploaded as it airs. :)

EDIT: I lied when I said semi-crappy. It's really crappy.

How can I find this tv Tokyo channel?((
If you're using KeyholeTV (and I'm not sure it's even worth it because of the quality), you must first sign up on the website > check your email for activation code > activate on the website > download the KeyholeTV program > open it > create a username/pw > it should be open on the program list tab > scroll to the very bottom > double click the 4th last option テレビ東京.

May I just say that Patrick Chan's outfit is quite hideous (and I forgot how much he likes his deep V!)
