2025 Channel One Cup

Just skimmed the replays.

Dasha landed almost every 4T this year nobody can call her inconsistent anymore she is clearly improving. She promised a 3A next season too.

Well done Dvoeglazova just needs a 3A and we'll have someone to push Adeliia. Also nice to see her and Lena on good terms. Alisa took some super close and questionable losses to her but no grudge. Easy to cheer for this girl into the future.

Of course happy for Sinitsyna whenever she does well. Two good FS in a row now looked stable. Early season must've just been a rough patch happens to everyone. I think next season we see her back to peak form with beautiful skating as always.

She bombed at GP Final, and fell at some competitions today and yesterday, but managed to clean her FP clean today, under so much pressure, so, hopefully, it'll help her to finally shine next season.

She had to skate in men's skates and wrong model first half of the season because she couldn't buy the model she used to. Finally got the model she wanted at early December I believe, so her results started to improve since then.

Incredible stuff from Elena and nailed the ending this time. Lot of pressure too in front of a big crowd.
She REALLY improved her program over the season. She started off just literally skating crossovers doing laps around the rink and putting in a jump or so. I thought this program today was perfectly fine. The Besti squat into a 4sal-2axel-2axel was impressive, and she was hitting her accents much better. Plus, we didn't get the usual final spin lasting five seconds after the music had stopped. I kept thinking the program should be choregraphed to where the final spin finishes five seconds before the end so if she gets lost and behind she has five extra seconds to either finish the spin or sell the end with a choreographic dance flourish. If she's behind she'll end it immediately after the spin, or if like today she's on her music she can sell it with a move or two. She was impressive and showed a dynamism out there.

Is Margo injured? She was the toast of the competition last year and I was surprised she wasn't there. It was nice to see upcomer Andreeva though. I'm starting to like Alisa too. She's getting better and looks ready for Seniors next season.

Overall it was a great and fun competition. Nice to see so many smiles and a team camaraderie.
