I'm so happy for Mao's skating! I was in tears mid-program and couldn't keep my eyes dry. Good for her! A perfect program that should have scored much more. I expect to see 10s in pcs and good goes for all the elements. Can't wait to see the protocol. It doesn't matter anyways. I'm not expecting her to get a medal after the SP, just wish her to skate a perfect LP to show the world what she really is. The medal really does not define who she is. I didn't even know that I like her so much until the SP, how heartbroken I felt for her.

I wish Caro skate a clean LP and have a happy ending of her Olympic experience! She's so deserved to have a medal. I wish she will not be bumped off by some undeserved one. I don't have clear favorite although sentimentally I hope the veterans who had been worked so hard and matured and refined their skating so beautifully get rewarded. Mao and Caro are the two that are fine examples of that group of skaters, also Akkiko. I like Zijun Li, Gracie Gold and Julia. Whoever deserves to win today should win.

I felt Kexin Zhang is one of the most underscored skaters. Yes she likes presentation skills, but the GOE for her elements are miserably low or even nothing. Those elements were well executed and better than a lot of other skaters' which got much higher scores. Anyway, after a splat fest and see a clean skate got much lower score was just discouraging.

There needs to be serious protest from all fans and casual viewers if this happens. There is no excusable reason for that. They already set a PCS bar with Mao's skate and honestly only Yuna and Carolina should deserve scores near the PCS given for Mao.

The blatant biased judging has been really discouraging for me, as a viewer. It takes the spirit out of the Olympics and it's a disgrace to the event and to all the athletes participating.

I vote for no more Olympics in Russia anytime soon.

The BBC commentators say she got credit for the 3A, but got dinged for the 3Lo. It looks about OK in replay though.

hmm, if anything, it looked the other way around.. the 3A was pretty borderline,probable UR, but the combo looked better, just about fine (except maybe pre-rotation on the loop?)

Like so many, I was devastated for Mao Asada yesterday with the mistakes and I just have no words for the feelings I have right now after seeing this long program. I'm literally crying right now like I'm in the middle of a funeral! But smiling and laughing at the same time... lawd!!

Like Johnny Weir just said, no matter what anyone else does tonight, my heart belongs to Mao. I cannot believe she put this program to her feet and with such a glorious 3A to boot. She defies everything it means to be an athlete... to be one of the best in the world and show it when the world is watching. Obviously, she didn't do that yesterday but let there not be any doubt about it today.

I have never ever seen REDEMPTION more personified than in what Mao Asada did today. I don't know that I ever will!

Johnny also said her 142 LP score is the highest ever, 2nd only to that of Yuna Kim (from Vancouver, I presume?). I'm stunned that this score may still get her to the podium--however likley or not, what a story that would be! She even had two URs called so it could have been even higher.

It's so hard to come to terms when there are mistakes--you want everyone to skate their best so that there are no mandatory deductions and that the final placements do tell the story of who's the best of the best. I'm truly, truly moved today... thank you Mao for a lifetime memory.

Judges hate 3-3L.......hers was definitely rotated. I think the GOE on her axel was BS too. She was underscored but she still has a shot at the podium now.

Her 3-3 looked fine. Her lutz was probably UR and her 3A was borderline. She scored 73 points TES... she hasn't hit 73 since 2008.
