2014 Worlds - Ladies Short Program

Meite was good, but higher than Murakami? Not sure.

Awww Vale! It was so disappointing when you fell, and then you lost your confidence after that. :disapp:

You may be out of contention for what I predicted, but at least you're into the FS. ;)

Oh well, you'll have your big chance next year! ;)

(Or, to put it another way, DON'T YOU EVEN THINK OF RETIRING, MISSY!)

You wanted to claim Injustice... That's rich after Sochi. Like I said, sell it somewhere else. I ain't buying it.
The difference is that I'm talking about current actual competition, and you about the past :P And where did I said that Sochi results are fair?

I haven't seen any of the skating yet, but judging from the marks Ashley was held up by the PCS. TES is very low.

PS: If anyone knows of any links where some of these programs might be posted...hint hint..

And...I'm thrilled to see Mao at the top.

There's no something like inconsistent flutz. You either flutz or not. Yulia flutzed again today just like she does EVERY time she attempts the jump.

Looked good to me. Judges agreed too. That's twice this year alone she didn't get a call in big competitions in Japan. 40 in TES!!:)

You did not watch her performance or just trolling. The edge was ok today.

Some mistakes, but should be enough to qualify for FS

SP: 27.65+27.31 = 54.96 (SB), in 15 (out of 33)

So it's now the N1 bonus? No corruption?

Depends on what you call any artificial inflation/buffer/corridor etc. I think judges have a natural pecking order, and a natural tendency to spread the wealth. US no.1 will always get better benefit of doubt than US no.2 , 3, 4. A powerful federation no.1 will get greater doubt than a less powerful federation no.1 and so forth. Corruption is a strong word.

I still think Julia's PCS scores are too high, but I won't complain much about it this time. Mao made my day:)

Too bad Pogo was lawballed and denied the chance

She will be in the last two groups, and if she saktes clean she will have her scores. Not for a medal though, if you're hoping for that.

With Ashley and Gracie at a combined 12 (5+7) and Polina all the way down in 12th place, I would hope this puts to rest anyone's notion that it would have been a good idea to send Mirai to Worlds instead of Ashley. It was only a good idea if USFSA didn't care about keeping three spots.

WOW SO MANY 70+ beh but at least most of them were inflated so I guess it doesn't matter. I'm so proud of the ladies and MAO especially but I've missed the whole event  But is it true Mao under-rotated her 2Lo? Anyone?

Fine. Let's keep it to the "current actual competition." Let's see. Anna is in the top 6, less than 4 points behind Gracie. That's about one level 3 spin. Oh yes, massive injustice. And there is still the LP to go. Sorry if my heart isn't bleeding for you. But then again, I'm a special case.

She actually will skate in the last group. With 69+ she could have had a chance. But not with this.
