2015-16 Russian Test skates

I liked Sotnikova very much, but that overdramatic ending must go, or she should move it to other point of the rink at least. Running to the boards and "dying" in competiton would be a little awkward IMO.

Eh, just die splayed out with one knee bent so the blade hits the ice. ;)

This was more or less the original ending to Max's Gladiator - on one knee, with the other leg to one side, his hand reaching forward in desperation and his head dropped as he died. I was heartbroken when they nixed it for the "oof I've been stabbed" upright finish.

And it's probably why I loved the end of the Nationals version so much. "Alas! I am slain! *thump*"

 No, reason to be coy about dying, is there? "I am loath to impose on your good nature by mentioning this, but, I think I may be, possibly, perchance, dead... "

^I personally didn't dislike Adelina's "death" pose, but I understand how it can look silly in competition. Unfortunately, I don't think the federation will step in and force her to change it, rather, I'm afraid they will probably love it lol...

It's not black that's Liza's problem, but that those costumes are just black and nothing else. Or purple and nothing else. They look a bit cheap.

I don't think they look cheap at all. She is the reigning World Champion and No.1 Russian ladies skater, and it is simply impossible for her to choose a cheap costume now. Did you really see the details of her new dress in close-up photos?

Adelina's skating and musicality really, really stood out compared to the other ladies. She was on a totally different level, in fact. I hope she gets her jumps and back in order.
And Liza... sure she jumped better than the rest of the field today, but her ice coverage is just soooo poor. And she still seemed totally exhausted by the end.
And Julia was, okay. I'm surprised she hasn't lost her jumps, but she's lost some of her uber flexibility and her spins weren't as amazing, though, of course, she's still uber flexible.

As for the rest, well, we'll see, I guess.
