I only watched it once so far this morning, just after I woke up and without my glasses (so phone about an inch from the end of my nose) but the last spin looked suspect. Hold your bloody positions, boy!

But the last spin did not count at all, it was not the level 1.
I think his last spin had enough for at least one of the V entries and some points as opposed to "not count" He had two revolutions on each position i think.
Even if that spin was just a fail, which one was the level 1?
Please note I am not trying to be contrary, just trying to understand it better.

I feel like the fancam has distorted this music a bit because I spent the whole program going "this is tango music?". However, I have an early contender for dress of the season!

Still trying to work out the spin issue - there could be a couple, but after the camel spin, he goes and does a butterfly and promptly rotates on one foot - maybe for long enough to have it called as a proper spin. Either way, the last spin was definitely no value. I don't think he held a single position for the required two revs on either foot - mayyyyyyyybe at a stretch the sit position on the second foot, but nothing else.
My first reaction to the costume was "Yes! There's no possible way they can ruin this one!" but then it became obvious that it doesn't fit properly, sigh. And I do think his speed needs work. He had practically zero pace going into the quad or the 3A and that makes an already difficult jump harder. I'm not saying he has to be Max, but a little more speed might be helpful for other factors.
At any rate, though, I didn't really see a lot to be concerned about. Just another step in the process.

That was in yesterday's short program. Today, he was skating second (just after B. Kerry) so he should have finished several minutes ago.

For this time of year, that's actually a pretty good layout for him. I would be surprised if no Lutz or flip, his 3Lz is quite good. Maybe to be added in later?

A little better than yesterday, when the best she could say about the SP was "great smile"
Not big on the details....Namely that it was a grandiose program, ie the peformance was good, doesn't say much regarding the tech though.
