2015 Skate Canada Autumn Classic International, Oct 12 - 15

The uncertainty of not knowing for sure about tickets may have kept a lot of them away. --How many were brave enough to come? -50? 100? They are lucky; you'll never get to see Yuzu live at a cheaper ticket price. :)

The fans who travelled all the way from Japan were there at the venue at 7am this morning to ensure that they got the tickets.

According to this tweet not many people yet and mostly just Japanese in the audience, see photo.

Ah, but this is only the practice, how many will come for the competition itself? I guess no one from Golden Skate can be our onsite reporter? --Anyone?

I'm thinking the group that flown from Japan should already be there and bought their tickets this morning/today. The ticket buyer must be the person attending and as I did not see any photo of queue (unlike in Japan)...my deduction is that not many take the risk of flying all the way due to uncertainty of getting venue tickets .

And I might be totally dead wrong and tomorrow the place will be packed

Yuzu has some dedicated fans to fly all the way to Canada to see him.

I'm surprised there aren't any GTA (greater Toronto area) GSers who are attending. Yet again, this is a weekday competition, and not everyone can take off work. Most other comps are held later in the week and over the weekend.

Great news:
None other than Sean Rabbitt :yay: is blogging from the comp for icenetwork. And already is doing a great job :):

ETA, update:
@michlmint has tweeted photos of Amber Glenn at practice today, although she had a travel delay and had not yet arrived in Barrie before Sean completed his first blog entry.

Mervin, his Canadian Thanksgiving dinner , and Marissa are seen in Angela's second Instagram for USFS:

@skatingpj (Pj Kwong) will be on site, and she promises lots of social media updates.
Her preview article on the CBC site:

Lynn Rutherford just tweeted "Getting #ACI15 updates from @michlmint. 100 Japanese fans are in Barrie with 150 members of a Japanese tour group due tomorrow."

I think it is unconfirmed whether there is actually a tour group as some fans are questioning the validity....if my google translate correct :slink:

Hopefully tickets won't be sold out on Thursday if I do choose to go x.x

Hopefully it won't be sold out. Some of the Japanese fans tweeted doubt about 150 members tour group. It seems less than 100 there today. (thanks SuzyQ for helping to translate the tweets)

Are there any news on whether they are going to stream the practice sessions or not? Anybody has practice prior to Men practice today to check this out?

thank you so much for the link... it seems to me there's a skater doing imaginative training close to the board right now.... :cheer2:

Yay! Thanks a lot!:hopelessness:
Nope, it only worked for half a minute and then it stuck.

FYI re live streaming:

The live streaming feed now is embedded on the event page on the Skate Canada site:

I mention it as an alternative to watching directly at the Dailymotion link -- because for some Nebelhorn and Finlandia viewers, embedded streaming worked better than the Dailymotion site.
