Thanks to 'The Finn' for uploading all the Russian Cup videos. It's been a great resource, all videos in sequence and all names in English, I really struggle with the Cyrillic alphabet.
I have been very impressed with the quality coming through in junior pairs, some very exciting teams in their ranks and nice to see some triple jumps appearing as well. It will be very interesting to see who makes the junior worlds team. They have potential 6/7 teams who would be worthy of competing at that level.
From stage 5 I was very impressed with Erokhov and Samoylov (never heard of him before), their appears to be a resurgence in the mens ranks, 4 guys through to the final and plenty of talent at home. Impressed with the way Fedichkina has fought back from her disappointing JGP performance, it looks like she is recovered from her injury, again it will be tough to make the Junior worlds team but I would really like to see her there.
On the dance front, I have enjoyed D/S, I still think she is a loss to pairs but she has done well so far in Dance. It will be interesting to see how they rank in Nationals.
