Longevity seems to be a consistent issues with Russian ladies. Right now I wouldn't be able to choose an Olympic team. I have too many favourites; I think I would love to see Anna and Liza make the team but Yulia holds a special spot as well. They missed their chance in 2014 and it would be a shame to see them possibly retire without an Olympic appearance.

Wow, the height Polina gets on all her jumps is outstanding! Her 3Lo and 2A look like she could add in another rotation no problem.

I saw some pictures of hers with other Eteri's students. After her coach changing she started to fall at every competition. So I guess to full prepare for new trainings and new coaching style she will skip some time. But that girl definitely has a potential. I don't know will she at Juniors or not. But it's not a big deal. She has enough time to compete in the next season.

Of course, I find out Adelina is not competing now...so I will have to change the video....
Who should I replace her with in the video? Leonova or Sakhanovich? I'm trying to keep it to internationally eligible seniors.

Junior. She is not on the list for Senior Nationals.
I love it!!!! If I may have a small suggestion, I feel Radionova was a bit hard done. You name everyone's biggest achievements and with Radionova you mention silver at the Russian nationals? She has medals from Europeans and worlds, and silver at Russian nationals is the best you come with? Nope. It's all right. Russian Nationals much harder than Euro or Worlds.
But yes, better to mention that Elena is former Russian Champion, not only silver. That will be more correct in that case.

Thank you for pointing that out! Honestly, I just copied the subtitles off a post I made a while back in the power rankings thread without really reading them again lol. I think when I was making that post, I was trying to make a point of how deep the Russian field is by listing their most recent, major titles. I know Elena is a very high level competitor, but I thought the silver at (an ultra competitive) Nationals was her most recent. I may have missed something from Europeans or GPF so I'll definitely double check and have it adjusted in the video if need be.
Well, she got in 2015 bronze at worlds and in 2015 & 2016 silver at europeans, so it is not as if those medals were ages ago! I agree that the Russian nationals are more competitive than europeans, but that doesn't give her any status. National championships are not recognised by ISU as competitions to earn any ranking points or season best.

So it's definite that there won't be Adelina at Nationals, right? Surprised ... not.
Yeah it's definite. Already been announced. Supposedly she is going to work to be back next season.

Her double axel is terrible. What's up with up-and-coming junior Russians and their bad axels? Hers is though particularly poor. Otherwise her jumping technique is ok I think, as for skating skills / linking footwork - those are still lacking esp. versus Zagitova or Fedichkina but for some reason I prefer watching her skating. As for hunched back, it does not bother me but on landings she indeed is strongly leaning forwards.
