I think Adelina's program is great. Very fascinating. At this point it's understandable that skating in as many shows to make as much money as possible is essential for her. I'm sure she also wants to compete, but it's difficult to do both at the same time, no matter how committed mentally you are.

Next week is going to be exciting. Gubanova and Lozko start their JGP quest. Anastasiya was just wonderful 2 years ago but very unstable during the last season. Alisa has second to none spins and step sequence. She had successful international debut last year with 181 at Sportland trophy. If she made progress in the jump department she is one the main new faces (although, so far after Zagitova's show in France all 7 of them are main at this point but Anna Tarusina whom I wish fast recovery from terrible accident).
The field against them looks weak. The girl to watch is Japanese debutant Rika Kihira who is one of those japanese wonderbabies with 3A. That will be interesting if she goes for it.

I am not sure what you mean. There are main and reserve senior teams. The main team for this season are: Medvedeva, Lipnitskaya, Pogorilaya, Sotnikova, Tuktamysheva, Radionova. The reserve team are: Leonova, Sotskova. As for big names missing from the team: Sima Sakhanovich and Maria Artemieva. Both stay and get 1 GP each. As for the others, I just can think of Alsu Kayumova who is going to be 18 next year and Diana Pervushkina who will be 19. I am not sure if they stay in competitions. They had chances the last 2 seasons and they unfortunately could not deliver. I am not sure about their competitive career in the seniors.

I believe Adeline does Latin programs very well, and she has already done many. She can perform those dramatic steps as much as Mao. I cannot picture other top female skaters, like Gracie, Ashely or even Evgenia perform those difficult step sequences, except Mao. In fact, I don't think of any other current lady who can do a better Latin than her. She also competed in the dance competition in Russia with lots of Latin dance training. She could be a very good Latin dancer off ice.
Hope she can get her jumps back to be a real threat again.

Can't wait to see Anastasia Gubanova debut at JGP Czech next week! She's so graceful and polished, and her spins are amazeballs, not to mention her lines and extension 
. If she can keep her head together in future years, I think she could be a big star.
Speaking of polished, graceful juniors with great spins, does anyone know if Alexandra Proklova is planning to come back? She could've been such a special skater

I have a soft spot for Alexandra ever since I saw her live few years back at her JGP assignement so I try to follow her career even now and as far as I know, her broken leg healed 'the wrong way', she got surgery to fix it and now she trains under Buianova at CSKA. I have no idea how her skating looks now but I seem to recall a video about Adelina from few months back where you could see Alexandra on the ice as well, so at least she's back on ice.
I wonder whether we'll get to see her at the test skates. I so wish to see her competing again, even if only in Russia.

Agreed, it seems to be her forte. But this one may be a tad overwhelming and doesn't lend itself well to her strengths. This music has already been used a few times since Weaver & Poje did it during the Olympic year, but perhaps "Maria de Buenos Aires" could work well for Adelina. Just a suggestion.

She is at the peak form now. She did the full SP layout during her EX including 3Lz-3T with rippon - everything was rock solid. Actually her Pink Panther EX SP is more balanced than what she did during the actual SP. But as it has no backloading the BV would be lower.
She would still win the competition easily but the bossy 194 score would not be attained.
