2016-2017 Grand Prix selections

Sima Sakhanovich and Pogrebinsky/Benoit both got a spot?

Tobias and Tkachenko at SA?

And WHY THE SALCHOW are Sui/Han on the GP? Is the Chinese Fed actually trying to sabotage their skaters?

Gracie and Ashley both at SA? Looks like the USFSA realizes that competition between top skaters will push them just look at the Russian girls going against each other at COR.

I definitely expected them to be listed at this point. It's not like they can get the slots back later if they do feel up to doing it. Of course I hope the Fed is not pressuring or forcing them if they don't feel up to it.

Nathan Sota and Daniel all got 2 spots.
Also Mao not at NHK what a time...

OMG, Tyler got one! :yahoo: And Wakaba and Masha both got two! And Sima got one! And more new seniors...Yura Matsuda and Mai Mihara got spots? THIS IS GONNA BE SO GOOOOOOD :yahoo:

Rostelecom is definitely the weakest of the ladies' fields and even then it's pretty decent  -- the rest are absolute bloodbaths.

The ladies' assignment at Skate America looks a bloody battle field again. Wow..(how exciting!)

Know what I was a little bummed because France is the only one I could possibly go to this year and it was looking disappointing but OMG Elena and Ruslan are there my life is made I don't even care who else is there ticket purchased that is all.

I knew they wouldn't put it at midnight for Europe! :yahoo: Ok, now I need to check out the lists calmly before the match starts.

And you will be very happy as the Polish couple will go to China and Japan :) :yahoo:

Dance is up

Anastasia CANNUSCIO / Colin MCMANUS and Elliana POGREBINSKY / Alex BENOIT up from junior each got one.

M/C really should be embarrassed that a vastly inferior US Junior team like Elliana POGREBINSKY / Alex BENOIT at least had the guts to go to the next level and challenge themselves on the GP against the Senior teams. M/C will gain nothing by domination another season on the JGP. And how many years will it be them skating as Juniors at Nationals again? A decade?

Two spots for Peng/Jin! Back-to-back but it's China and Japan so not too much travel involved.

One spot for Denney/Frazier! Excited to see them back. I assume it's between them and Castelli/Tran (depending on summer performances) for the SA TBD spot -- expecting it to go to Castelli/Tran but maybe a third team could even sneak in (Pfund/Santillan?).
