2016 Skate Canada Men's LP

I am amazed that this Daniel kid skated so awesome after that horrible painful fall. That costume creeps me out a bit. I will be cheering for him from now on!

Yuzu said: I was sad because people can't see my legs yesterday.
Brian said: You might want to tell me next time.

Orser shows again that he believes that sports psychology is a part of his mission as an elite coach.....

Even on an off night he scores close to 100 technically. And there are some gorgeous things in Hanyu's program (that Ina Bauer is TDF!).

But uhm

uh

well ah

(damn where is that shield when I need it to dodge the stones coming my way)

I kinda found the program itself to be a bit of a snoozefest.

:slink:
Me too with this performance actually...
I think he performed it better in Autumn classic; looks like this time he was trying to focus on tes to more.

Samohin has that weird, darkness, heaviness (in a good way), personality and conviction that makes him pull off this music so well.

"People can't see my legs"

Maybe the first time that' been uttered by a figure skater :laugh2: Love you, Prince Yuzu.

i was at aci.. aci was better in the first half but then died.. this second half was stronger here

That was some very strong jumping with two quads and two axels, even with the quad loop error and double salchow. But the program is not my favourite of his... So mechanical and the focus on the jumping passes made the interpretation pretty flat until the last minute.

Why are you focusing on jumps then? There are many beautiful moments in this program :confused2:

The injury has affected him yes, but I think he's delivered enough perfect, high-difficulty programs that we can stop blaming the asthma - after all he landed both triple axels and the final lutz so clearly fatigue wasn't an issue.

He's been landing 4L and 4S in practice with ease. He simply is human and just didn't bring his best today with a very difficult new layout. That being said he did deliver almost 100 points TES even with the errors... There's no need to excuse him for what really wasn't that bad a skate.

To be fair, the poster was not excusing the skate, just replying to me who said he seemed exhausted by the end and more would come with more conditioning as well as practice.
