So how come D\R's score in the video is 143.78

But in the Result website it's 147.48 ?

In the original scoring, they are rewarded with only a triple throw when they did a quad throw. The score was updated aftewards to account for the element. :agree:

I'm assuming that they might be behind Chock/Bates in World Standing since their last season wasn't the best.
Skaters were invited according to their World position as on Jan.1, 2016, and the Shibs were then behind Chock/Bates.

Ok, so going back to page one of this thread (day 2)...........

"For the overall Team Score, two Men’s, two Ladies, one Pair and one Ice Dance score will be added together for an overall team score. The highest aggregate score wins."

Does this mean the actual point score that was given to each?
Are we done with the 8,10,12 point thing from yesterday?...

You are correct on both counts.
What matters today are FD and FS scores.
(The system of placement points -- 8, 10, and 12 -- was only for yesterday's SPs.)

... If the skaters who's scores are not counted, are they still part of the team and will get prize money?

Yes, all fourteen skaters on each team will share equally in Saturday's team prize money.

As seen in the rules in this thread's OP, the prize money is expressed as the amount per athlete, as well as the total for the whole team:

... Overall Team Challenge Cup Champions crowned based on total overall points
  • First Place – Team Prize Money - $210,000 ($15,000/athlete)
  • Second Place – Team Prize Money - $140,000 ($10,000/athlete)
  • Third Place – Team Prize Money - $105,000 ($7,500/athlete)

Yes, A very annoying reminder that in Pairs the difference between a Triple and a Quad is only 3 something points :scowl:
