Only info on Joshua Farris is hearsay. I haven't seen anything official concerning Joshua attending Nationals.

I realized that Jordan Moeller's withdrawal the next Senior Man from Mids will be going to Nationals. Next in line and in his first appearance at Nationals as a senior is Eric Stinehart from Skokie Valley FSC. I saw him at Mids and is was pleasant. Doesn't have a 3A, but did ok in the FS. His SP was kind of rough and I could see him under rotating jumps, but he did much better in the FS.

Adam has been very consistent this season with his jumps, except for quad lutz.Also he has great programs this season.I hope he wins the title but I will be happy as long as he makes it to the team.

As a fan of both skaters, I think it would be very interesting to see what happens with the PCS judging if Max and Jason showed up at Nationals and skated 100%. I have wondered if Rohene can really "fit" a program to a skater - I think he has a lot of work to do before he can do what Phillip Mills can do. But I'm more worried about what Rohene does with Kori's other skaters than I am with Jason.

Right now I think Max is a solid bet to win. But Nathan has a lot of momentum and will at least be on the podium. Jason is unclear since we haven't seen him in a few months, though I hope he'll also podium and get to go to Worlds.

With Nationals less than 4 weeks away, I hope we hear definitively if Josh Farris is competing or not. My gut tells me he won't be, but I'm waiting to hear from his camp to let us know what's going on with him.

I think it will be Max, Jason, Adam and Nathan battling it out for the top 4 and it could go any way. Perhaps Grant Hochstein will be in the mix as well or at least be top 5.

I was kinda surprised that Jordan's announcement was as early as it was. I would figure that most skaters who are going to withdrawal due to injury would wait to enjoy the holidays and then announce after the first of the new year.

I am assuming that is what is going on with Josh if he isn't going to compete at Nationals. (Although if the hearsay that he is still completely off the ice is true, wouldn't he have announced it awhile ago? Wouldn't Christy/Damon have had a drop cutoff date for him to return to the ice to get realistically ready - and wouldn't that date have been sometime last month? What's the shortest it would take to really get ready?)

I think from the news story about Jason's injury that Kori was (at that time) fairly confident that he would be able to compete at Nationals. Worse case, he could withdrawal and request a medical bye to tryout for the World's team. But I'm not sure how successful that would be - I guess it would depend on how the men look at Nationals if Jason couldn't make it.

Since Jordan qualified through sectionals, I think he was being considerate in withdrawing as early as possible so that the guy replacing him would have as much time as possible to prepare for the competition.

I'm not 100% sure, but am guessing that since Jason and Josh both qualified through byes, if they withdraw they will not be replaced - so it wont matter if they wait until the last minute to decide or announce it.

If we're really lucky there will be no announcements because they're both skating! Amazing that it's just a few weeks away now.

Yes, I thought about that last night! If either chooses not to participate in the media teleconference, then that would be a strong indication they won't be skating. Maybe we will know more in a week or so. I truly believe that if Josh was going to withdraw we would know by now. It is less than a month until Nationals, if he was not going to be ready they would know, and would have said something, I am sure.

Until he says anything, my default position is that he will be at Nationals, and I hope so very much that it will follow that he will be in Boston...

Not all of the previous year's medalists participate in the media teleconferences.
So hypothetically, if no USFS call with Josh is forthcoming, that alone would be no biggie.

Even the gold medalist does not necessarily have one.
But given that injury caused Jason to miss NHK, I do think it would raise some eyebrows if he does not have one.
(He did have media calls before 2013 and 2014 Nats.)
