2017 Worlds Helsinki Info and Chat

So, that means Balcony AE holders can ask VIP-area seats right from the start, since they don't want to occupy somebody else's places on level 1 and 2 :)
I don't mind that at all.

I am not sure about that though. But Ms Anu sure knows by now that all her emails answers were being shared as I reference the twitter post which she answered the AE ticket holder.

I am waiting to board my plane and get the sense I'm surrounded by skaters. At least last time, I could name most of them (I got stuck in the queue for the x-ray machine between the Russians ladies and men). Now, I just feel awward because I vaguely recognize some faces but no clue who these people are. :palmf:
Or maybe I'm just being paranoid, lol

Safe travels. It stopped snowing, it snowed a little in the morning in Helsinki. And + 4 C, warm.

All event balcony tickets does not inlclude practices. So the balcony ticket holders must buy separate tickets to practices. There were no all event Ice level tickets left anymore when I was able to buy mine and that thing made me buy separate ice level tickets to events I decided to go. I have not yet decided if I will go to any practices, probably not. But I am still wondering if I would after all to go to see Short Dance. I am not biggest fan of dance, but this does not mean that I do not like it. I just like the other disciplines more. And sometimes I get bored because I just do not understand it so much, the rules etc. Can you make the decision for me?

Tbh, I don't really understand ice dance rules either, however I really enjoy watching it. :)

I think Virtue/Moir's Prince SD alone is worth the time to go to the arena and watch it live, it's just that amazing.

I'm already here in Helsinki, and it just feels like average NYC or even an English winter day. Nothing too bad! I didn't even have a hat on yesterday. Maybe it will change, and maybe the arena is freezing, but so far it's better than I expected. I'm sure we'll have a meet up in the arena after a few of us meet tomorrow, hamaguri. We'll give info on this thread.

I made it to Helsinki too! I am really STOKED for this...! Looking forward to the practices tomorrow!

Minor issue... I didn't realise a lot of the restaurants are closed on Sunday evenings... oops...!

Does anyone happen to know the practice groups for tomorrow or if they will be announced? Thanks in advance!

On the ISU website of the Worlds there are the practice groups and music rotations for every day. I printed the whole thing at work.

I think that La Famiglia is open until 23.00 or 22.00. But I know that many cafes close too early. I like Maya restaurant, too.

This may help you: http://aukioloajat.com/helsinki/ravintolat "kiinni" means closed, "auki yli" means open more than..
Burger restaurants are many open late in the evening and in Finland you can buy salads and wraps, etc from in burger restaurants. In shops, even the small ones, are often salads and they include plastic forks. Not gourmet, but you can survive.

Edit. Virginia Oil and Zetor are open, they both are near the railway station.

I just saw the posts about the issues with seating... My friend and I have All Event 9 Premium Level and Ice Level 1 tickets. Should we be worried about not being able to sit in the seats printed on our tickets?
