Yes but even with all those mistakes at nationals, she still beat the other ladies who were clean. I’m not saying she’s delivering her tech, but she will still score higher internationally, which is what Canada needs at worlds.
Clean? Not so. IIRC, Alaine was FIFTH after the SP at Nationals after falling on the 3z.
The standings of the others after the SP:
1. Daleman. Combusted in the FS, placed 8th there and fell to 5th overall
2. Austman. Popped the flip and fell on the final 3S. With limited tech content, 5th in the FS and 4th overall.
3. Mallet. Fell on one 3lo and URd the other. Singled her final axel. 3rd in the FS and 3rd overall.
4. Schumacher. Popped the opening 3z to a 2z!<<; URd 3f and 3s. 7th in the FS and 7th overall.
5. Chartrand. 3z+3t<, 3z<, 3s<+3t. First in FS and first overall
6. Cotop. Clean in SP and FS but limited tech content. 2nd in the FS and 2nd overall.
Alaine won the FS, but only Aurora was clean in both segments. All of the others were clean in the SP, but none skated a clean FS.
