Super impressive, especially the people who clearly make it happen, namely moriel, Spirals for Miles, Shayuki, Fluture, tars, russianfan, yoloaxel, Sam-Skwantch and Grin!

In some of the posts I read this was supposed to happen two weeks before.
But someone decided Thread is too "backloaded".
There were many victims of the mind corrective programs...
Even Thread was 24 hours halted.
How fortunate that those who confused weak minds now where they should be!

Does anyone know if Gubanova’s going senior? Sorry if it’s a dumb question and has already been answered. If Gubanova stays junior, my dream team would be:
Kostornaya, Shcherbakova, Gubanova (Trusova if Gubanova goes senior)

For seniors:
Gubanova, Pogorilaya, Medvedeva (obviously the first two isn’t going to happen and if Gubanova stays junior replace her with Liza T.)

Please take notice that this is my dream team and I am completely aware that this is very likely not going to happen!!!

no news on Gubanova going senior or staying junior yet! most people hope she'll get the host pick spot for Rostelecom

Some thoughts:

1. Very beautiful - putting panties a top of them the way she did some time before will ruin the impression.
2. How is she going to sharpen them? Gold layer may be damaged - gold is softer than steel. Then they may not look that nice.
3. All those beads - look impressive. Is there some risk though that they go off when she is on the ice?
4. She will need skate matching dresses. Otherwise, it may even look ridiculous like a grey dress and golden skates.

It‘s not a dumb question as we don‘t have any news on Gubanova unfortunately. Personally, I hope she isn‘t staying in juniors. Really, there are Trusova, Sherbakova, Kostornaya and Tarakanova she has to fight against. In senior we have Zagitova and Medvedeva as Russian #1 and #2 so the third spot is still wide open. I know, there are still lots of talented skaters she has to fight for it but I feel like it‘s more possible than in juniors. Please rusfed, make her get the Rostelecom host spot! 🙏🏻

And about your dream team: As I read it, I realised once again that Russia clearly has too little spots for so many ladies. :( I can‘t even name my dream team because it‘d probably include too many and I couldn‘t decide... If I had to...

Hm, Evgenia and Alina for sure and for the last spot? Polina probably but I‘d love for Anastasiia to be on the main team, too, same for Elena... Well, my favourite out of these three would still be Polina, I guess. But what I‘d love most of all: More spots for the Russian ladies!!!

1) Panties?
2) I think they thought that through. Wasn‘t it said that the layer is as robust as on of normal skates? I don‘t know anything about that, though, so if anyone here has experience in layers of skates... We need you!
3) I don‘t think that‘s going to happen. There are lots of skaters who have these beads on their skates. I think they‘re made so that there is no chance for them to fall of during competitions.
4) Yeah, I agree on that, you can‘t wear any dress with skates like these, they‘re very prominent. But maybe she‘s only wearing them in exhibitions anyway. I don‘t know. Let‘s see what she‘ll do with them! :)

They're super pretty!

1. I think she stopped doing that already last season :)
2. no clue but I would hope that John Wilson thought about it before making them and giving it to a prominent skater ahah
3. Vale Marchei and I think Aljona Savchenko had them last season and it was fine so probably they are securely attached
4. idk how noticeable the rose gold is from afar, so idk if she needs to match her costume to it :scratch2:

Does anyone know if Gubanova’s going senior?

At this point i hope she stays in juniors, even though i don't understand what's going on cause she did well at senior nationals so in my opinion she deserved 2 spots more than others.

Do we know what's the deadline for announcing these GP spots? I wish Sofia Samodurova gets it but if RusFed can wait until Skate America, they will probably decide based on how she performs there (if she medals or not).

The field is very tough for Sofia but lots of doubts:

- Will the new rule for underrotations affect Miyahara's scores? In theory yes, absolutely, 5-6 of her triples are clearly underrotated by the new rules, but this is Skate America where scores are based on loveliness, rainbows and unicorns so she will probably be fine at least there.

- Marin Honda and Raf, how is that going to work? Cause we've heard in the past that Marin tends to get lazy, she could be a medalist here or bomb big time.

- CSKA skaters. In the past, Buyanova had the tendency to focus only on the best skater from her group which is still Maria Sotskova, i don't know how she's going to manage such a big group now even with the help of TAT.

-- Polina Tsurskaya, usually when a skater leaves Eteri is not going to end well (based on previous results with Shelepen, Lipnitskaia, Pitkeev, even Voronov the year after he left), plus Tsurskaya has to adapt to the new training, i have the feeling she might not skate well here, but i also feel she is TAT's new favourite so she will help her more than the others.

Same for Radionova, at her best she could medal here, but based on last season i'm not very positive about this.

- Bradie Tennell. It all depends on her, if she skates clean, America will push her hard like last season but as we saw at the Olympics she can bomb.

Based on all of those points i assume gold and silver will be a battle between Sakamoto and Miyahara, Sofia could fight for the bronze but it depends on Bradie and i think she needs to work on more difficult elements.

Do we know something about her? will she include the 3ltz-3T or even 2 2A-3T in the free skate?

Ahh moriel, I'm coming for you! :dev2: :laugh2:

Also, I hope Gubanova does not stay in juniors. If she does, she will be like Konstantinova this past season, holding back skaters who are actually junior-aged and (probably) have more difficult tech content for her. And if she goes to JWC, she will not get a PCS advantage -- we saw what happened to Kostornaya vs. Trusova at JWC this year. Yes, Gubanova performed well at senior nationals -- that's a big reason she should get the Rostelecom host spot. She hasn't performed well enough internationally to get two spots, so I think it would be fair for her to only have one this year and fight for more (and the big teams) after that. And there's no guarantee she'd win her first JGP event -- especially if she goes up against Trusova, Kostornaya, or even Shcherbakova with 4Lz, and it seems that winning the first event is the only way to get a second one (whether I agree with the especially dumb decisions of RusFed last year is another story *glares*) I think one GP would be better than one JGP, and who has a better case for the Rostelecom host spot? Daria would've but she already has two spots. Gubanova was 6th at nationals, and everyone above her (well, besides Kostornaya) has 2 GPs, as do Tuktamysheva, Panenkova, and Radionova, who were 1, 2, and 4 spots below her respectively. Plus Gubanova now has the Buyanova factor. It would be incredibly stupid to keep her in juniors, in my opinion.

If rusfed can wait and see how Samodurova performs before giving the Rostelecom spot to someone, they will. I mean, if she medals at her first assignment, chances are they will give it to her.

A bit off-topic but where do you get to buy tickets for JGP events? I‘ve never been to a figure skating competition before, so sorry if the question is dumb.

Even with the Buyanova influence?
I wish Samodurova had two spots initially :( but the team is too full, she's so good but Mishin just doesn't have the politicking that Buyanova does...
