My prediction is that Young You is going to be the one preventing the sweep. She’s my pick for silver.
Yes. If Sasha or Anna have a bad skate, she could absolutely slide in there. Also, I've seen her land a 4T, so next year, watch out. Korea has a number of promising juniors. As far as 3A-if they were all here-no one is a slam dunk. Alyona wins if Anna and Sasha bomb the quads. Anna wins if she hits the lutz, and Trusova doesn't hit her quads. Trusova wins if she hits her quads and Anna doesn't. Maybe that is what makes 3A fun to watch-they come into any competition even, any of the three can win any given competition.
As far as the spins, I meant it as a joke-I've never seen Trusova warm up a spin on warm up or in practice. She loves to jump jump jump jump....

Why doesn’t Alexandra trusova work on her spins ? The jumps are already some of the best I’ve ever seen. But according to practice reports, she’s only jumping and jumping, and leaving out the spins?
What kind of GOE does she typically get for her spins? I think that if she improved them she could be even more unstoppable.

I just watched a fan livestream of today’s practice in Zagreb and both the Eteri girls spent a while just practicing all their spins. Trusova certainly isn’t leaving out her spins. Maybe she doesn’t enjoy them - I think she mentioned it last season - but she is definitely practicing them, she has improved on them a lot since last season.
Well her quads require practice, she’s going for a risky layout. She jumped and focused on the quads for the first 25 minutes and then practiced triples and spins during the last 5 minutes.
She loves jumping that’s why, I think Daniil told her to stop the quads and practice the spins after she landed the 4Lz-4T3T-4T sequence clean (then she laughed).

Something to be noted is that Sasha's quads are getting quite consistent. She didn't have any ugly falls, and the success rate is 75% I'd say. Anna's on the other hand not so much. When she lands it though, it's breathtaking.
So to the person above saying that Sasha only wins if she lands her quads and Anna doesn't, remember that Sasha has 3 quads, and Anna has 1, maximum 2. If they are both clean, Sasha wins. I don't know who could do an upset or something, but no one can win over Sasha other than Anna, even if she falls on all 3 quads considering that the rest of the layout has been clean for her for 2 years straight.

But she's also been consistent with her jumps in the last few weeks, and today I think she only fell once. I don't know how good the other "threat" girls are, but if clean, Ksenia has a pretty good chance of medaling.

They know what it means if Trusova skates clean, means becoming the best skater in history, at least the best technically. His free program with those 3 quads will give his at least 175 points with more than 105 of TES. It will be decades and nobody will break that mark.

All she would win - dedicating priceless time and efforts to spins instead of quads - are mere couple of points at best. Why bother? Keeping 4Lv requirements are more than enough. Spins are one of the most cheapest elements in modern fs - so they prioritize their efforts accordingly.

I doubt she can hit the 100TES mark with this layout or the 160FP score with her PCS.
Next season with the chsq and the senior PCS boost and some improvement I think it’s possible.

Anna's tracksuit has an open back, you should know. And that was 3-2-2-2-2 I think.
