This is AMAZING, honestly! Evgenia now once and for all proves what kind of woman she is: classy. Mature. Clever. She doesn‘t resort to ugly tricks and showing personal messages. Not even when provoked by Eteri. Just thanking and being grateful. I hope she‘s going to rock this with Orser, really hope so. Russia should be grateful to have a skater like her, she‘s great!

It really is! Have you seen Koola King out of all people posting a „Pray for Evgenia Medvedeva“ video on his/her account? It‘s hilarious, really.

But understandable, still. If it was... say Alina in Zhenya‘s part who I’m more neutral to begin with and not such a crazy fan like with Zhenya I‘d obviously also take Alina‘s side because... well, what Eteri did was just a no-go. Btw, I hope Alina makes the run, too. I‘d have thought to her be the first one to leave anyway.

But I‘ crazy excited, really. Brian Orser‘s a good coach and Zhenya will be able to train with the likes of Javi, Yuzu and Gabby who she is already friends with (especially Yuzu and Gabby now, too, I think) I hope we‘ll see results, though. Keeping my fingers crossed for this one!

Am i the only one thinks that she should at least informed eteri about it before all of this speculation of her changing coach came on the internet,yeah i know everyone hates eteri but that woman is not that evil,they won medals together,eteri gave all her best to her and she showed love to her from watching all her past competition. I think eteri felt offended imo. She just cut her communication with her all of a sudden because she didn't make her OGM?that was sad,but lets move on. Goodluck in the future evgenia.

I also wonder about the politics inside Russia. They don't want three Eteri skaters at Worlds or Olympics, that's for sure. But would they want an Orser skater there? I'd imagine that they would like even less. So I assume Medvedeva will actually be competing with the Eteri skaters for the two slots... And I wonder what her status will be there.

That‘s like not even close to what he said, lol. Guys, as much as you don‘t like a skater... Please still get your facts straight or it‘s embarrassing. To you, imo, not the skater.

Well, that‘s what Eteri says happened. Eteri also said that she only got this information from the press which is pretty ridiculous because the president of SAMBO knew it already. No way he wouldn‘t let her know it.

And even if she did: Remember that she probably has a manager and Eteri and her relationship is - still - only a coach-student one. And her manager (or whatever she‘s got) had probably told her not to contact Eteri at all.

These are just assumptions, though. We do not know what really happened and probably will never. If it really happened the way Eteri stated it (Zhenya ignoring her and everything) it wouldn‘t be very nice of her of course. But and this is a big BUT: The difference in how they handled the situation is obvious. Eteri is attacking her long time student on national TV instead of waiting for her to make an official statement. Not considering how much we like Eteri or not, that‘s just not a very mature move. She is 44. She‘s an adult. No matter how hurt, she should still be able to at least act her age and not throwing a fit like a stubborn five year old.

Now I wonder about Alina's prospects... What will she do this season, next seasons? Will she move to another coach?

I don’t think you go to Borser if you want to retire simply because he is expensive and a very prestigious coach unlike urmanov and even Plushy but that’s just me.

We don’t know the full story about the break down in their relationship but for all we now Eteri or Zhenya could be justified. However Zhenya’s speech is far more adult and mature and respectful of Eteri than Eteri’s which seems to be ripping the teenager and her rep apart. Additionally most people would be angry and want to retaliate but Zhenya didn’t so that also says something about her.

Whatever she says for PR does not make her leave classy. Also, maybe its a russian thing, but it sounded very not sincere to me.

As for retirement... Take another example, the russian dance teams who tried to train in USA and how it ended. My bet here is that next season she will lose not only to Alina, but to Osmond too.

RusFed had to approve her going to Orser also it didn't take long to convince them this change will be beneficial. Besides Evgenia still be officially representing sambo-70

Honestly, RusFed needs more Eteri than Evgenia. Eteri can produce champions for the next decades.
Evgenia is not already young and very healthy.
