Oh. I have to admit that I really wasn‘t aware of that rule. But can I say that I don‘t like it? I mean, now you‘re saying it I do get that it does make sense but... just but. To make it a bit more evident would be nice. I mean, two points between Trusova and Kostornaya? I get that Trusova‘s TES is ridiculous but she just doesn‘t have the artistry. She just doesn‘t. Whereas Kostornaya lacks (in comparison only) in the TES. So, I still believe this should portrayed in the respective scores.

While I really like her, Kostornaya wouldn't stand a chance against Trusova at JWC even with super inflated PCS for the first one.
Like in Russia, we say "против лома нет приема" the two quads are just too much to compete against at this point.
I'm not even sure why you bring JWC as an example. I could agree that Kostornaya deserved to win JGPF when Sasha made mistakes, but JWC is just a bad example if you want to bring it.

Yes, only the top senior ladies stand a chance against a clean trusova, that's why alena wants to join the quad team as well

I think Trusova's TES make her virtually unbeatable, BUT she should not be receiving the same PCS as Alena, not even close. There should be a 10\15 points gap imo

I remember an interview trusova did for the rusfed:
Interviewer: figure skating is not only about jumping
Trusova: what a pity

Of course this is the mind of a competitive 13 yo, but if we're talking in a longer term, she will realize that she cannot discard the pcs. In this case I don't think the pcs difference will be that huge.

Because that‘s just what I meant to say! Alena couldn‘t have won at JWC but that‘s not my point, my point is that despite the technical advantages, Alena should have won in PCS by a far bigger margin. Sasha should have won overall, that‘s for sure. But it‘s not fair to have her get PCS just two points below Alena because artistically they‘re not on the same level. Trusova was far, far, far better in her TES and this was acknowledged like it should be. But in PCS it wasn‘t. Which I find unfair. It‘s not even about who should have won or not it‘s about giving PCS fairly.

1. she beat Trusova this year (only Tarakanova's done that besides her)
2. she has quads. RusFed wants quads at JGPs I'd think

I think that the list is related to funding. So, if I'm not mistaken , it's better to be in the girl's A team than the junior reserve. She will probably get a JGP assignment

Zagitova was 12th at Junior Nationals prior to her JGP debut and look at her in the past 2 years.

So, today the ISU congress passed a new backloading rule which states that only 1 jump in the SP and 3 jumps in the FS will recieve the bonus. How do you think this will change the future of Russian ladies' skating?

If she actually goes and jumps 4Lutz and 4Toe during the test skates she definitely would be able to compete at JGP.

Oh, they went for the stricter one. I thought they would go with the 2 in SP and 4 in the FS one (I think that was the one Canada proposed). This one was a Japanese proposal IIRC.
