It would be wonderful. What could be better than pure sporting rivalry! In fact Jenny has been forgotten as an athlete faster than Yuzuru made his strange assumptions... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9hYYzfHwUw

Seriously, the relationship between EM and FFKKR ended with her refusal to participate in the World Cup. Will she come to control skates or not is her personal business. Eventually FFKKR learned of Orser transition after her two months of secret negotiations.

Stanislava gets 2 GP assignments? :slink::slink:

Where is Gubanova?

Not guaranteed any because she's not SB top 24 (blew it at her JGP and got only 160.75) nor WS top 24 nor medalist at JGPF or JWC
Hopefully she will get the Rostelecom host spot, especially considering she's a Buyanova girl now

Maybe Gubanova will get the host spot. Does she has an influential coach?

Slanislava, who by the way is keeping her Anna Karenina program for this season, may surprise us. I don’t know.

Yes, Gubanova recently moved to most influential coach, Elena Buyanova (coach of Sotskova, Radionova, now Tsurskaya, former coach of Sotnikova)

From all the trolling and the spam, I asked had one serious question about jumping technique and my posts got deleted. I guess it's time to take some break from this thread. :disapp:

They were not deleted because of your question. You can make it again.

esteticlove had asked a general question regarding the lutz edge since they weren't sure about what was considered flat and what wasn't. It had nothing to do with KK per se.

Well, it makes since using KK’s videos as an example since they’re almost exclusively about lutz😂😂 So I‘d say it‘s perfectly acceptable. Sometimes I have trouble spotting flat edges, too and especially when the video footage is bad you often really can‘t tell the difference. What was the question, though, without mentioning KK? I must have missed it.

Oh guys, thanks! I have no idea what KK means, my guess is you mean that specific anti-Eteri user on youtube? The video was actually from another channel and it was posted from a user here, so I used it as an example because there was a lot of slow-motion footage.

It was about Alina's Lutz technique - since she overtook the junior circuit last year a lot of people praised her that she actually was one of the few Tutberidze students with a right lutz edge - even for my very untrained eyes it looked good, I guess, but this year it appeared to me that her outside edge was not that noticeable as it used to be, or at least it was very difficult for me to see it, whereas commentators and GS users kept telling it's pretty much well done. So, this definitely contributed to my further problems with recognizing the right edge when skaters execute this jump

And therefore came my question if anyone of you has noticed the difference? I will repeat myself, this is by no means a hate or bashing of Alina or something, I pretty much respect her as a skater and cheer for her and would be very happy if people stay away from giving her names like flutzer etc. (and please, don't bring Medvedeva in to the discussion... we know that it's her weakest jump)

Shayuki, did explain it pretty well but his/her post was also deleted. He/She also shared a link with some explanations, I found it very helpful: https://colorzonice.tumblr.com/post/175278609716/the-lutz

overall i think Alina's edge is fine. It may not be the deepest most perfect, but fine
I mean, her Lz is nowhere near Tuktamysheva's Lz, for example, but also much better than the girls that flutz and get e/! calls, such as Medvedeva or Osmond.

"Alina's Lutz technique is one of the few Tutberidze students with a right lutz edge" - Shelepen(she jumped 3+3+2 and 3Lz+2T in 2008 when it was not yet fashionable), Tursinbaeva, Lipnitskaya, Tsurskaya, Zagitova, Panenkova, Tarakanova, Trusova, Kostornaya, Sherbakova, Akatyeva, Erokhov, Samsonov... even Nikolay Kolesnikov 9 y.o. - all have perfect Lz. The one with detriment is in Canada now.

Tsurskaya and Tarakanova deffinitely have a great Lutz jump. Trusova also.

But Lipnitskaya? I don't know - I always thought it wasn't that great, maybe not a flutz but the edge wasn't always clear to me. It's interesting that she, Serafima end Evgenia had a very similar (kind of similarly flawed) jumping technique. I think that in the post Sochi time Eteri and team did improve in terms of teaching better jumps, or maybe she just got more talented students.

Also, Kostornaya's lutz is not that clear?

Sorry but I believe at least Lipniskaya, Kostornaya and Shcherbakova have problem with their lutz edges.

Apology is accepted. All children are talented. Tutbrtidze led the modest of her talent to 2E & 2W Champ. if Tursynbayeva did not leave in 2013 one more lady would really fight for Olympic gold .
