I think that was just an opinion and nothing else.
I really don't think that the topic is worth discussing that much :sarcasm:
Just an example of a bad sportsmanship behaviour.
We saw the same from Liza earlier.
yes.It was that "a program with 3Lz-3Lo at the end of the program" shouldn't go above a mature and beautiful skate, as if they were mutually exclusive
It's called freedom of speech and not censoring / labelling opinions you disagree with as "bad sportsmanship".
Yes, of course. We as well wanted Zhenya to win being there. Moreover, my wife had a mild depression after Medvedeva lost.
Exactly! I hope he realized that Evgenia has to compete with skaters that can land 3ltz-3lo or two 3-3 in the second half in a sleep, and potentially quads.
I'm worried he might start to water down the contents because of "the quality" as he did with Tursynbaeva: with 3s-3t in the SP you're not competitive in Russia.
no. It's a sport and should stay this way. It's called freedom of speech and not censoring / labelling opinions you disagree with as "bad sportsmanship".
Uhm, my recollection was that the comments were made in the context of what the changes in the IJS rules meant for Liza herself and other more mature skaters.yes.
We all have out favourites and an opinion.
My point was about an active athlete or a coach.
They shouldn't discuss and criticize rivals. never. It's a bad sportsmanship.

Is she okay? Evgenia losing that OGM was hard!

Lol)
Was I the only one cheering for Alina at Olympics??
If she needs some support, you can point her to Zhenya's FF, Samkrut! We've all been there.
Did anyone read or view the original interview with Orser in English? I was only able to trace the source to this article: https://rsport.ria.ru/figure_skating/20180906/1141329480.html

Has this interview ever gotten a reaction. I read it just now. I can see why it has rubbed some of you that wrong way. I think what he said is open to interpretation and a good journalist would have asked a follow up question. "Mr. Orser, by treating her like an adult do you mean allowing her more choices in music and choreography and costuming or do you mean the way you are actually interacting with her as a coach? Is it more a question of giving her the ability to steer her own course?"
It would make sense that Orser, who didn't know Evgenia as a child, would see her as an adult. He is coaching an 18 year old. Eteri was coaching a 10-18 year old. It has to be different.
I know that even with the scouts I used to work with the ones that I knew as 8 year olds I tend to treat a bit differently than the ones I met when they were 14 or 15. We are all only human that way.
