Still gotta be the glass breaking / judge punch for me. Just so funny, it gets me every time 
I think the 4T calls were a bit merciful because of the fall. I mean, she is trying, and a 4T + fall + UR would be kinda even more meh. My guess is that judges do not want to go TOO hard on it.
my thoughts on FS.
1. Zhenya's FS is nothing of a tango. I mean, you cannot guess it has any tango in it if you watch it with the music off. Why even put Libertango into it? Combined with the SP this makes me worry about her choreo - the ideas seem good, but i am unsure about implementation and how raw it is.
2. How many banners supporting Alina were there? Because ummm dunno this audience looked very uncool to me for not supporting the Olympic Champion.
3. Alina's FS is also kinda raw for now. Not sure about her jumps here.
4. I am waiting for epic fan battles with "Alina's puberty" vs "Orser's bad coaching"

I think there were enough people there to support Alina, too. And they were cheering her on during her skate and calling her name before she took the ice.
I think both Alina and Zhenya need some more time to polish their programs. Alina was probably a bit lost in the choreography due to her sruggling so much, it‘ll be different if she‘s clean. About Zhenya, well Orser basically said that there wasn‘t a real program in the FS yet and they will work on it. So let’s see. I hope both will be fine.
Alina‘s puberty, though? She looks perfectly in shape, she was jumping the difficult combos perfectly in practice, only one rough landing or so. If that‘s puberty, maybe more skaters should get a dose of it.
No, seriously, I think it was just the pressure + being not fully prepared for the season yet. And Alina always struggles at the beginning of the season, she needs some time.

Yes, they did. And Alina has (in principle) 3Lz-3T now instead of 2A-3T
I meant Zhenya.
Overall, i dunno. For Zhenya, tbh, the only visible improvement is different style of programs. I definitely need a final version to judge because right now its different, but its not something Daniil couldn't have done if you know what i mean =(
As for Alina's puberty, i mostly meant the fan wars part =P I can totally see something like that starting. I mean, do you recall the general outcry when Zhenya made like 1 mistake on test skates a year ago? Right now, im pretty sure the fans are just waiting for someone to start it.

Evgenia's SP is going to be brilliant. It's mostly there already. The LP needs a LOT more work. Very boring and meh right now - definitely seems only half-finished. The time off for dealing with her injuries is probably to blame.

As in, yes, they added 2 lutzes for Zhenya. And then I was talking about Alina who has changed one of her combos from 2A-3T to 3Lz-3T. Yes, I get what you mean. So far I feel like her SP is a lot better than her FS at the moment. She needs some time because right now she isn‘t feeling the tango at all. I definitely need to see the final version, too, because this program doesn‘t sell it for me so far. I like the general idea and I can see where they are going with it but there are tons of improvements to make. I think they know this, though. I guess this is just the general TCC approach. They always add transitions during the season and change the choreo/jump layout a bit. But Zhenya‘s case was a bit special as she arrived late and they didn‘t have much time. That might be why the FS seems so half-finished right now.
Yeah, the puberty monster strikes again, I guess. For some people at least. Those wars will call for lots of popcorn, I can see it already. I will try to leave if those discussions start but probably won’t anyway, let‘s be honest.
That seems unfair to the audience to call them 'uncool' especially when they filled the house and are throwing flowers/whatnot for the skaters for test skates (some very rough test skates) - just because Alina won the Olympics doesn't mean Russian fans have to heap praise/love for her.

i kinda dunno... My inner Tsurskaya's fangirl is extatic because actually she could wipe the floor with both Zhenya and Alina this season if things go well. But then I am unsure and dont want to hope for too much.

I love Tsurskaya but I‘m only daring to hope for her to get this 3rd spot, go to Worlds and do well. There are so many girls, making the team is already an achievement. Especially as she was injured/ill so often already. She seemed to run out of steam at the end of the program and her spins were a bit slow but that first 3Lz-3T combo really showed what she is capable of. I hope she‘ll improve and do really, really well this season.

For me, I like Zhenya's SP, then Alina's Carmen. Then Zhenya's FS and Alina's SP last.
1) Evgenia's SP
2) Alina's SP
3) the two FS
It's really hard to judge the long programs, because there is not much there yet, there were mistakes from both, it's hard even to tell how things are supposed to be timed with the music.
Having said that if i was judge, between the SPs, Evgenia gets higher components and better GOEs for the steps sequence but Alina wins overall due to better jumps and better spins.

I seriously can’t watch Polina’s FS because the Yulia feels are too strong. I’m sorry...I tried twice. R&J was different for many reasons but this one hits home. :sad21:

So very disappointed with Daniil's work with Alina, although my expectations were quite low after seeing that they made no changes to that chaotic POTO. :disapp: At least his juniors got a relatively decent SP. What a disservice, 2 warhorses and dozens of incoherent music cuts. Again, I saw one piece dedicated to one element like the flying camel spin. And 30 seconds of obvious time stalling before going into the second half combo. He is putting her at a major disadvantage vs. Med and Liza in program composition. On a positive note, I did see some improvement in interpretation from Alina like in the step sequence. She is talented and deserves way better programs that are not afterthought warhorse mashups.
Liza has what looks like regular Mishin programs, no? Her jumps are back, but her programs are still Mishin. I really don't see how that is an advantage compared to what Alina has, since there is basically 100% guarantee Liza will not get good PCs for her programs due to lack of transitions and so on and so forth.
Also, I am surprised people are so on about Med's programs, since both look incredible raw - basically, just some hints of where choreo will be, so we can only guess how the final version will look. We sill have to see those programs because currently they are obviously not ready. Meanwhile, Alina at least got some final version of her choreo right there right now, which is a major advantage (because at least she has something) over Zhenya, specially since both have CS events and got to compete relatively soon.
