I actually really liked it :cry: especially the Skate Canada version. She maybe fell on the combo but I think she was performing the heck out of the step sequence.
 
Just realized that I'll be in class exactly when the third group skates the sp NOOOOOOOO

Ähm no her technique needs reworking, firstly her flutz which she wants to turn Into a true Lutz, her axel is a dream compared to before. Her skating is smoother and faster too.And I think she can't use the same technique after her injury. We do know that most of the Russian skaters who skate under eteri are given a bonus in points , why is anyone's guess,

My main guess here is that Orser didn't have much experience with Russian skaters who were trained for a long time under Russian system.
He had Gogolev, but Stephen was born in Canada, so had western coaching all along. Tursinbayeva switched to Orser as a junior (she was 12 or 13). Fedor Andreev moved to Canada when he was 7, so he also had western coaching all along. Elene Gedevanishvili went to orser after training with a bunch of different coaches first. So, basically, Zhenya is the one who trained the longest under Russian system.

They didn’t have a scoring system change when they began working under Orser. :bang:

And Hanyu finished off the podium at Worlds his first season with Orser after taking bronze the year before.

Her body changed, and so her technique to accommodate.
But yes, I agree that she's probably homesick, even though she lives with her mom.
 
I for one look forward to Evgenia's Tosca. I think she can do drama well and that it suits her current state of mind. Her combination of determination and frustration will read better with this dramatic music. I remember how effective it was on Irina Slutskaya and looke forward to comparing the two programs.
