- Trusova while a remarkable skater with her quads, without she doesn't have anything that stands out for her

_ Alina Zagitova deserved the first place but I think she doesn't deserve that difference in PCS to Kostornaia, Shcherbakova or Gubanova
_ Kostornaia even when a fall she just skates perfect ....
_Alexandra Trusova ... without the 4 ... her programs are more junior than the other skaters

_ Stanislava Konstantinova - I don't get her score or PCS .... But is clear that RusFed wants her
_ Anna Shcherbakova ... I don't agree with their PCs
_ Alena Leonova -- I love the way she's skate
_ Anastasiia Gubanova -- I don't get the score in the PCs
I was sad for Evgenia Medvedeva .. but it almost impossible to put a program in 2 weeks ... She doesn't fail in practice ... so probably is just nerves ... she will get there in time ... isn't easy change a life of jumps
It's a bit sad that Evgenia doesn't get the respect she deserves for her commitment to improving her technique and skating for the long-term. People sometimes forget that it's been barely half a year but we have already seen some noticeable improvements such as in her jump takeoffs and use of the toe-pick, even when these improvements don't always translate into competition. She got the marks for what she put out there today. Glad to see the support at least from the fans that are watching her in the arena and a more upbeat attitude in the KnC. She and her team are investing in a a multi-year plan and understand that patience with change is needed.
Meanwhile, Alina put in a better performance today than some of her past outings this season but the domestic judges are doing her a disservice with these unrealistic, near-perfect high marks. Given there's Nationals inflation, so not shocked that her 3Lz with shallow outside to flat takeoff edge + 3Lo< are getting a row of +3's, nor the sky-high 38.15 PCS for performing this cut and paste program with flailing arms choreography, rushed movements, hunched posture, and barely held landing edges. I mean 9.46 for SS. The only two times she received such a generous 80+ SP score this season was at Rostelecom and here, both competitions at home. I highly doubt she will be showered with these types of PCS at Euros or Worlds with this type of skating, especially after the international judges have started opening their eyes, as demonstrated at GPF.

There is no cooking like home cooking Bill, but this favour will only take a skater so far. Look out Worlds!
i'm personally disappointed with Evghenia after this SP. Ok, screw up the GP series, but nationals is your time to prove them all wrong. And she probably did worse.
I don't get what Brian is doing, but something needed to change.
She needed to take this first half off, she didn't, well now she should take the rest of the season off. She doesn't deserve the third spot.
I don't think she will hit a clean free skate, there's just no way.
I was surprised she didn't skate better after watching her practices, especially since her errors were the result of loss of focus. It was probably a bad idea to change the SP when she's having problems with her confidence, but she's still within striking distance of the senior skaters she needs to beat. Like you, I think it's unlikely that she will have a clean free program because these confidence issues are just as difficult to overcome as technical problems.
Do you think its a possibility that as long as she's close enough to the other seniors score wise she can still lose to them but still get the nod to Euros/worlds?

lol why on earth are you guys so insecure about alina's success? I don't understand it at all but if it makes you feel better then by all means continue, alina remains unbothered with all her achievements.
why does rusfed prefer stanislava over sofia
Did "home cooking" cause those cleanly landed jumps?
Whether you disagree about the specific numbers attached to the leader's score shouldn't take away from the fact that if she gave the exact same performance at Worlds, she would probably be first or second behind a clean performance with a 3A.
"Home cooking" caused those landed jumps to be called clean. Have a look at the replay, Alina's 3Lo is <, her blade touches the ice at around the 135 degree mark and completes the rest of the rotation on the ice.
If the tech panel is strict, she would likely finish third if Liza and Rika both have clean performances with a 3A.
The word “underdog” was clearly used to describe the media narrative, which largely painted Medvedeva as the dominant world champion and Alina as the young upstart with a lot of momentum. It was an incorrect narrative that is partially responsible for all the “Zhenya was robbed” cries, because casual viewers were misled by commentators and analysts into thinking the competition was closer than it actually was. That’s all.
