2018-2019 GP Assignments

I'm interested to see how Xiangning Li will do 3 GPs without collapse.

It's doable. Top 6 at Worlds 2011 were allowed to compete in 3 events during 2011-2012 GP:

The number of possible events was increased to three for the top six in each discipline at the 2011 World Championships. This had been allowed in the early years of the Grand Prix series but reduced to two later. If all of the skaters accepted, it would reduce by six the number of available spots for other skaters, which combined with the reduction of entries, would result in 18 fewer spots available to other skaters in each discipline, compared to the previous season. The top six were offered a US $10,000 bonus to compete at three events but face a fine if they later withdraw, even for valid medical reasons. About 29% of the 24 skaters/teams opted for three events.

At the moment these are the current unfilled GP spots.

The two international spots in France (replacements for Y/Z and S/B) have apparently gone to Hase/Seegert and Reust/Wolfe according to the French Federation webpage for IdF. German media confirmed that H/S now have two assignments.

Thank you for the heads up. It's so hard to keep track of GP assignments because you never know when a withdrawal or a split happens these days.

Trying to dissect what you have here, but if you are counting Min & Gamelin (who are not yet crossed off the list officially) at SA, then you could probably count Mansour & Ceska (likewise not yet crossed off the list officially) at Grand Prix Finland. Both or neither. The spots will likely open in time, but it's up to the teams' federations to pull those reportedly split teams before the spots can or will be filled.

Based on the way the ISU document has been updated I’m fairly certain they won’t be filling Denis Ten’s position.
Rather that leaving his name crossed off until they have someone new, they have completely deleted it and not written anything in the slot indicating it’s a TBD.

It could very well be the case. We will need to wait and see- the grand prix is still a couple of months away.

I didn't know about Mansour and Ceska! Wow, there have been a tonne of splits!
Regarding Min and Gamelin- I understand that the KSF are yet to officially say they have split. This was more of a way for us to keep track using all official information and fan information.
Another example would be the French Pair that split (Esbrat and Novoselov)- they have officially split but their name has not been crossed off the list.

So it's been confirmed? I was keeping up hopes that they wouldn't split :sad4:

I didn't know they'd officially announced their split. I thought that was just a rumour. Whereas M/G personally confirmed it.

No, it's not confirmed. We are still waiting on confirmed/official. (As I recall, I waited forever two years ago to hear why they dropped out of their season and missed Europeans & Worlds. We never heard). I've read in at least 3 different places that they have split, at least one poster who seemed to have checked his/her information after the GP announcements came out with their names on the list. But nothing has been confirmed and it's not official. But the Min & Gamelin split isn't official either and their spot at SA was listed above so that is why I pointed out that Mansour & Ceska's spot is likely in the same position. We wait & see.

Chafik Besseghier is delete of IDF on Wikipedia, why?
I usually update Wiki pages, and occasionally other people do it.

Except that he's a Frenchman. I would like to know the news because no FFSG announcement.
