Tickets are here online.

I would really love to go and see Alina! It won't be so crowded like some other competitions and it would be a unique opportunity to finally meet her! I could only attend the gala on the last day, 29 September but if Alina will attend this gala (for the 50th anniversary of the Nebelhorn Trophy) then I don't care it will be late at night when I will get back home. Please, Alina, stay for the gala!!!

I know, right?! And I have the feeling that being the only Russian lady there she will be calmer so all was for good.

As a pairs fan, I noticed that Annicka Hocke and Ruben Blommaert are no longer on the list. I don't know why, but I suspect an injury thing as it's very odd otherwise for German skaters to withdraw at such a late stage at a competition in Germany. A pity, I would have loved to see how they have evolved since March at Worlds - even though I fully appreciate that it's early in the season.

Was just looking at pictures, beautiful skating rink. Lovely city too. Hope Alina has a great time there. Excited to see the competition, on the ladies side several great skaters (I'm less familiar with the bulk of the men's field there).

I am excited for the Dance competition. I am intrigued by Piper and Paul's theme for their free this year and am very excited to see the Parsons and C/P go head to head.

It's in the picturesque (Allgäu) alp-region of Germany. Oberstdorf is not a city - it's a village (Dorf=village) and a tourist village and a popular holiday region. The Trophy is named after the 'Nebelhorn' a mountain which is next to the village. You can go up with a cable-car which is next to the rink. Many skaters have done that as well. You can also look at the mountains from the training rink.

Loena is going to be there too. I hope she does well, she had such great skates at last Worlds, and it would be great if she has continued to grow.

I just got my ticket for the gala and I'm so excited!!! Unfortunately, the show will end at 22:15 local time and my last train to Munich is a couple of minutes later which means that I will miss the last few performances but I hope I will get to see Alina, Alyona and Loena!

Blommaert has been injured his foot about 3 weeks ago. He posted pictures walking on crutches. They are back on the ice again now (not sure if they are able to perform all elements though)
and I hope we'll see them at the GP in Everett. I'm looking forward to their new programs as well.
