Thank you so much for doing that! Very enjoyable to watch and she is so happy at the end. My guess is that with this confidence builder, we will see more expression developing in her performance. Looking forward to it!

I’m hoping all these young teenagers can keep up with their growth, so much potential for Canada if they can.

Sadly Emily did not reach SP TES mins for Worlds... if she did better than Alicia and Alison after the free, technically she can get sent to Senior B, we got few choice but it's all in Europe i think.

Congratulations to our Gogo Overlord for winning the Bavarian Open by 21 points :medal" , and to Emperor-in-waiting Joseph for climbing up from 5th place to the silver (with a Personal Best score in this segment), which is one spot above his bronze medal finish at this event 3 years ago!!! :hap36: :dance3:  :yes2:

I've noticed while watching the livestream that Stephen didn't perform any quads, so presumably he's not 100% recovered from his recent injury, and he's aiming to deliver clean skates.

And again he ditches a nicer costume (from his 2nd JGP event) for a more plain-looking one.

i think that confirms Alicia's ticket to worlds...

Emily popped the loop--perhaps the pressure got to her. Likely she'll rebound in the free, and Alicia doesn't have the tech in her FS to maintain her lead.
Alison not only popped the loop, but fell on her opening 3f, so the popped loop became her invalid combo. She's almost 15 points behind Alicia, so she'd have to skate lights out to pull ahead.

It's a nailbiter for sure.

I mean I think the decision is pretty set now.

Emily will go to JWC with Kaiya. Alison and Alicia...or if they are monitoring Gabby and she looks in any sort of shape will go to WC.

Unfortunately, if Alicia keeps doing 3T2T in the SP, that might not be good enough to qualify for the free at the worlds.

She got 57.09 at 4CC, last year that would've qualified her in 19th place for the free (higher than Alaine Chartrand), so she'd still have a shot. At this point, I'd rather they send Schizas than Bausback (I guess she can still get her points at a Senior B?) or Schumacher based solely on their SPs from BO/4CC. We'll see what happens in the free, I guess.

Schizas doesn't have a 3z and does only one 3f in the FS. Pineault's FS is lacking in tech power as well. Sending both of them would almost guarantee Canada losing that second ladies' spot. Send Bauback to a senior B!

Moreover, 4CC scoring is nothing like Worlds scoring. Last year, just one lady with 3t+2t made it to the Worlds FS, and that was Brezinova, who did 3t+2t, 3z, and had been skating Senior internationally for years. Pineault is a Worlds newbie with limited experience at the Senior level. I'm not sure 3t+2t, 3lo is going to make it out of the SP.

I hate to break it to you, but no matter which combo we send it's all but certain we're losing the second spot. Hopefully in a year or two the young skaters will be ready to get them back.

For Junior Worlds, the pairs event at Bavarian was pretty close in scoring, the younger Quebec team winning I assume that’s who they’ll send.
