2019-20 Russian Ladies' Figure Skating

All the other off ice training you can.do via online! Skaters only need ice time. And the situation around the world isnt that bad: swedish skaters didnt stop training, finnish skaters started to skate this week, slovakia gave permission to start training, japan nationsl team also did not stop training, some rinks in US will open their doors next week, poland will let athletes to train again starting 01.05...so at the end of the may i hope everyone can skate again

Popping in to say hi and ask a question!
I believe there was a competition where Anya was a little bit ahead of the music in her FS so she added an extra step to the step sequence. Can anyone tell me what competition it was?

I thought it was all planned: they added the extra step hoping to get a higher level cause at the early events judges gave that stsq only level 2.

Anyway I wanna say it was Cup of China but maybe GPF.

I don’t think they can go back to training normally any time soon, but I do think the national team members + coaches could move to large bases where they live and train. The entire national team couldn’t go to Novogorsk- I think it’s too many people. Need to account for Zamboni operators, doctors, coaches, etc. Not sure if parents would legally need to be there for younger team members or if the skaters could live on their own. But Tarasova mentioned there was a facility in Sochi (IIRC) that could accommodate training, and I’m sure there are others. Maybe they can only have 1 hour on ice instead of 3 if skaters need to train in groups of 4 vs 12, but that’s better than nothing. And obviously priority would be given to national team members. Unless there are private facilities with the capacity in which case others could train (if they can pay to have it open).

The idea of moving the team to Sochi actually could be good if they can prove there aren't any case there.

yeah i think there are ways skaters can ease back into training. obviously not to exactly what they were doing before, but at least safely be getting some ice time.

You suggest that team Tutberidze became a royal family?

On the top there is an empress Eteri Georgievna I. of the house Tutberidze, then two loyal knights and bannerlords Sergei and Daniil, royal dancemaster Alexei, blademaster Sergei of the house Rozanov, and the royal house continues with all those ice princesses, squires and royal hounds.

The question is: are the concerned grandmas concerned for Eteri's girls or for their favourites?

BTW children sport activities didn't turn into a child labor by introducing quads in ladies category

1) Funny accusation. But when the talk is about rising the minimum age for seniors, it's people like you who are against it- because you're concerned for your faves, the girls who might not be able to jump anymore at 17 and to win anything in seniors. A bit hypocritical, don't you think? 😏

2) Girls. Only girls jumped some "quads" that aren't even real quads. We didn't saw any woman land it so far

The court jester is missing! :D

LOL, several resident posters who like to ‘troll and droll’ will have to fight over that position....

Or better, let’s hold a tourney between them :-)

Two words: Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

Sasha’s quad toe is 100% a real and legitimate quad. Yes, the technique on the quad flips/Lutzes we’ve seen from Ladies so far is not textbook, but her quad toe is good.

Also, Liza landed it in practice, just not in competition yet. Same with Rika.

Any married female skater ever landed a quad?
Any pregnant? (Berezhnaya and her twists is not counted)
Any soccer-mom?

First lady's quad was 4S of Tursynbaieva at WC-19. Next season former juniors landed some more.
