She is, and in the chat was suggested she better switch rinks to get proper development. Hope Sankt Peterburg keeps her and develops her. It can not and should not be all Moscow in the top of Russian figure skating.

Wow, Adeliya Petrosyan bested Akat'yeva in the short program !! Only a little less in TES but more in PCS, and deservedly.

She skated really clean and very confident. Well done, little tiger ;-)

Adeliya looked very pleased with herself, Rozanov should be proud over any and all of his pupils. Adeliya really has grown in skills and artistry and will only become better under the Tutberidze Effect.
In the smaller tournaments earlier this week Rozanov was out with his pre-novices and novices, and the Khrustalniy style was clearly visible in these 10 year olds.

Khrustalniy tops again after the short program, but of course, tomorrow they should deliver a clean free skate.

They probably won't push Akat'yeva to over extend herself, a place in the finals is practically guaranteed. Sof'ya in a growth spurt best not throw any ultra-si when not necessary. Will she risk throwing triksels and quads just to show she can?

Regarding Maria Sotskova, I would not say whether she should or should not go sitting in my arm-chair. But I would not be surprised if she decides not to go on her own. I think that it could be emotionally devastating to skate and receive the scores like she does recently. It is a blow to self-esteem. She would also understand what a wave of negativity will follow in Russian media. Finishing a good career like that?

On the other hand, if she feels that she can do much better and she has the internal fire to prove it why not to try? For me Maria will remain "the 3 spot savior" at junior worlds in 2016 and senior worlds in 2018.

3A as in triksel? It will probably be very close and the smallest errors will be decisive. Will be very interesting to compare Alina's with Alyona's first start in its entity, after Finlandia concludes tomorrow.

No she is not. We will have to wait until GP France in the beginning of November when Alina and Alena meet.

Oh boy, that will be some 'confrontation', in the most positive sense of the word. #TeamTutberidzeForProgress is really cutting it thin with this assignment of their best senior stars.
But it also proves they have full faith in both their stars, because artistry wise, Alina and Alyona are in a class of their own.

I think will be close ... without 3A probably Alina will get better scores but the day Alena put 3A on the program will be very hard for someone to beat her in the SP ... the judges will give her almost the same PCS that they give Alina if she skates clean ...

I would imagine 3A as in triple axel, which is how an English speaker would refer to the 3A

“3A” as a nickname for skaters is cute, but it is confusing on an English language forum.

Myself, I like “Four Aces” (since I think there are actually four ladies whose names begin with A, no? ) It’s an old timey singing group as well.
