Kostornaia is so, so, so good. Her glide across the ice is astounding and makes my jaw drop. THIS is what skating at its purest should look like. The only other female who is that smooth and fast is Sakamoto. elevates programs.
Sakamoto is hardly the first name I would think of when I think of when I hear elegance, musicality and interpretation.
I was the one who brought up Sakamoto, and I talked about her in terms of her having similar GLIDE and SPEED to Kostornaia.
The rest of your post is pure WUT.

So the RusFed didn't play usual games and decided to follow the pronciples of sport. Some money related thoughts here: to send one team is cheaper than two or three.Team for Europeans has been announced.
As expected
3A with Tukt and Guliakova as alternates.
I was referring to the post above that spuriously claim that Kostornaya is the only Russian worth watching and she and Sakamoto share the same talent. I highly doubt that is the case or that Japanese and Canadian skaters are the only ones who are pleasing to watch. I really don't know where to start with this claim honestly. It's so wrong on many levels especially inserting Canadian skaters. Who are these people? I must be hiding under a rock.
Actually, no, I don't mean Anna. She's not half bad, compared to many others. (Still, even the best* ladies are not quite as artistic as the best men, which is confounding to me. *Best as in "best artistically", not by medal count.)
But I do have high hopes for the current crop of ladies. After severe lack of musicality in ladies skating, I'm ready for some breakthrough.
Completely agree, she and Kaori are the smoothest!!!
according to the GS article from today, Sasha wants to learn a 4 loop and include it by the end of the season :eeking:
i'm not sure how i feel about this...i would rather see her clean up her current layout and get it consistent before adding more.
Me too.
Impression is she's still skating like a junior (I can do that and it will be great), while her "sisters" already made the mental jump to senior (what I have I will deliver).
Tarasova in her latest interview blamed the climatic extremies of Siberian capital Krasnoyarsk (translated as Red-Forest-city) for the abudance of skaters' errors.
Yeah, having -30C and below did nothing good for Moscow and S/P skaters who were 95% of participants.
Apparenty it didn't influence Anna's performance.
These three are on the road to repeat exactly what happened last year: Aliona gets gpf, Anna rusnats, Sasha worlds/euros?

There's no reason to be all shocked and be like "you can't have meant Sakamoto" when we're talking artistry.
