I don't think it was technical or physical problem. Kamila admitted herself, she's always very nervous before the start. You could see in her eyes, she was intimidated.
Not quite a natural competitor like Alysa/Evgenia/Alina/3A - more of an artistic, fragile type.

Perhaps. We'll see tomorrow how she has recomposed herself. First time out for your country is always the hardest. Better a fall now to learn from it and take the lessons you've learned forwards to your next competition.

IMO this is quite a strong statement after seeing her compete for the first time ever internationally. Gotta cut her some slack. And also, if you've been following any of the ladies you mentioned, you know that every single one has messed up at one point in their life. That's the sport. She'll grow into it.

Well, "natural competitor" Alina Zagitova bombed one of her JGP events badly. Anna bombed the JGPF. Where are they now? Exactly. I think it's very unnecessary to judge by one performance, especially if it's the first one on the international scene. And Alysa hasn't even had her debut yet. Why not give them all time?

Kamila just needs some time and more importantly experience. Not everyone is able to keep their nerves all the time, but she'll learn how to do it.
All the most talented Eteri's pupils: Polina S., Yulia, Evgenia, Polina T., Alina, Alexandra, Alena and Anna skated clean in their international debuts and won.
I think Kamila will be just fine... one day means nothing... and tbh, she has never been someone you can depend on always being perfect. But with this new tv contract in Russia and with the open rentals, she's had more media attention put on her before even starting her JGP than anyone else I can remember from Russia. And her main fan account(which I follow and it shows her liking posts on from time to time) is the most obsessive fan account I can ever remember. (If were a coach I'd have them off social media before competition or have them make a 2nd account where they're not following fan or figure skating news accounts)
I don't think all the attention this early is so healthy. It can constrict your sense of self and make you feel like you're always being watched. It can also provide a kind of affirmation that reduces the hunger to get it through competition.
There have been a few Japanese skaters with a lot of media attention put on them before the JGP... Marin Honda and Yuna Aoki being the big ones I remember but I think there are others... and I don't think it was good for either of them.

Yes although she still has a quad toe, which is an extremely hard element especially for a girl.
We'll see if she does it regardless of what happened today or if they ease the program this time to make sure she skates clean.
btw her 3lz-3t is one of the worst technique I have seen, she stops and sort of like rotates a little and does a Zhang mule kick so high going for the toe combination.
Ill give it 2 years max, she may end up like Lipnitskaya by the time growing starts she can only jump 3T-3T but I'm more optimistic of 4T because its high enough.

I think Team Tutberidze rarely lessens the planned difficulty of a program, and I don't recall a single example of them doing this midway through a competition.
I think it's safe to say we'll see Kamila attempt that quad in her FP. I wish her the best of luck and hope to see a magnificent one, like in that practice clip!

I don't think that will happen. There is a risk of not making JGPF. It is do-or-die at her level, and Kamila is perfectly capable of 'doing' and not configured at all to go for 'dying' in the figurative sense.
If they ease the program, she most probably won't win.
