Thanks for reminding us. These skaters are real people. I am not sure we should panic or give up say after the first 3 JGP's and give up totally on the Russian girls. Yes, they have been disappointing but they have won medals at each event. In some countries even a former powerhouse like Canada a skater like Sotskova would be national champion.

Wow, I have to say I never really "got" Alina before despite all her achievements, but this short program is IT for her! Very impressed i have to say, for it only being test skate the emotion was so present and her lines and flexibility look more poised than in the past.

Alina was foot perfect, and Evgenia, while making some mistakes on the jumps, also looked much more mature with great presence (think Hanyu-esque). I think they have both improved tremendously. People keep talking about the 3A dominating but I think Alina and Evgenia won't give up their senior dominance without a fight!

Yes. Her new short was supposed to be a Twilight program and her free was going to be No One Ever Called Me That from Third Person, but then they changed the free to Twilight and kept the old SP.
