Sorry guys to interrupt you, but the news broke out that Sotnikova was scammed by an online fortune teller, she transferred her 1 mlb rubles but didn’t get a fortune telling... I’m sorry she was scammed but this is kinda hilarious

Alena now has a clean lutz edge. It is clear that flutzers can correct their edge so evgenia really needs to work on it. It seems it is regressing.

Alena never had an inside edge, she always had a flat edge. It is much easier to fix a flat edge than an inside edge, see Mao who worked over ten years on correcting her edge and still did not succeed completely.

In her domestic junior years (2016-2017) she had a clear flutz then it improved to flat edge and now outside edge.

Old habits are really hard to break when it comes to figure skating. Some people can fix them faster than others. People learn at different paces and that is ok. Just because Evgenia's edge hasn't improved yet doesn't mean that she isn't working on it. I am a figure skater too (but on roller skates, not ice) and I have been trying to consistently rotate my double lutz for about three years now. The reason it is inconsistent is because of an old habit I accidentally learned. So I feel like it is unfair claim that Evgenia hasn't been working on it. She is probably working on it (she has talked about wanting to correct the edge), but she probably just hasn't found what "clicks" to prevent her from switching to the inner edge.

I think a good strategy this off season for her would be to work on it in pieces. Like work on the single for a few weeks then the double until the outside edge is solid and then slowly start working on the triple. I enjoy many parts of evgenias skating so I hope she succeeds.

Just a thought, if evgenia gets lutz edge calls in the short program? Maybe she could work a 3Lo3Lo to increase her base value without risking an edge call? There are old videos of her practicing this combination and it would probably be more rewarding than 3F3T and 3Lo in the short?

Yes but if she took out the lutz she cannot perform 3F3Lo and solo 3Lo. It’s just if she gets the edge call on the lutz (e) not ! Then it will not be worth it to try the lutz. If she continues to get ! then I think she should continue to perform the lutz and F-Lo combination
