2019-20 Russian Ladies' Figure Skating

Maybe it was my omission, but I didn't see any of Alina's posts thanking to the coaches, and to the team she belonged to - Team Europe.
Instead, I've seen some posts only with her in the new image from the free program and thanking for the gifts she received.

Props to you for trying to engage reasonably but when the venom is spewed that thick, it is a pretty straightforward case of trollery (which comes in many forms).

But I remember the good old days a year or so ago when Madison was a huge supporter of Alina. People change favorites from time to time and I understand that it's just that she's been posting with some negative innuendo lately that Alina does not deserve. But it is what it is and I don't want to comment on it anymore.

And I can‘t wait to see what her dresses will look like. I loved the old one for her SP but wouldn‘t mind seeing a new one either. And of course... twilight. That one scares me a bit. I trust Olga but.. please nothing tacky. And not a reworked version of her her exhibition costume either.

i smell another costume change like Anna & Sasha. which would be most fitting for the Twilight program.

It would fit, I guess. Idk, I loved the costume change for Anna but it makes it a bit less unique if all three are doing them. And the costume change from Sasha didn‘t seem as effective the first time I saw it. I just hope that if there‘s a costume change, that it will be well done and fitting to the image and the music and not a gimmick for the sake of all new seniors having it.

Costume change would be fitting for Aliona's program, but if all 3 girls have one, then it will simply cease to be unique. I still think costume change for Sasha was kind of unnecessary as her music is all from the same piece.

It will be Aliona‘s senior debut this week. I heard that there will be a stream but it won‘t be free. Now, is there any way for us to watch? Some other free streams maybe? I really don‘t want to miss her senior debut, it‘s been so long since we‘ve seen her in a competition. :(

Last year someone on youtube kindly streamed the Filandia stream. I hope it happens this year again :)

Alyona isn't a child anymore, I doubt she finds pleasure in 'tricks', with Aleksandra and Anna still do (not meant in a denigrating way at all, seeing how Anna simply radiates with pleasure performing her transformation :-).

But it has been suggested by the music cut, which contains a distinctive junction, a 'change of image' might be possible. We'll have to wait.

Yes, I am also sooo excited about Kostornaia's senior debut. I couldn't care less about the dress though, but what I am interested in is to see how she is doing against Liza. How will the judges score her PCS wise? All the best to both of them.

Does anyone know if Konstantinova is replacing Samodurova? Stasya was listed as a substitute and now when Sofia has wd...?

Here is the list of contestants, Konstantinova is a reserve, two Russians will compete: http://www.isuresults.com/events/cat03109517.htm

Best follow the event in its own thread: https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?713-2019-Finlandia-Trophy

Yes that list also included Samodurova before. And as Konstantinova is listed as a substiute I would think that she would step in now when Sofia has withdrawn? I guess it's unlikely though, Konstantinova has SA next week to prepare for, but why then was she listed as a substitute in the first place?

No reason is known still for Samodurova's withdrawal? Given her poor results in Lombardia, perhaps it has been decided she should try to improve first so she has a definite chance at a season's best, instead of what can be regarded as a failure for a national team member? Sof'ya also didn't participate in Sankt Peterburg Cup 1st Stage, so it might alltogether be something completely different, but I doubt she is in enough competitive shape to challenge in a Challenger event.

She is still listed for CHN and JPN stages of the GP series, but the listing will be updated once the first event is underway.

We'll have to wait and see how things evolve around Sof'ya.

Sofia is still listed to be in Ice Star Challenger next week, so I assume she is not injured, perhaps she has a cold or something?

Makes sense, Ice Star is a lower ranked competition, where she might have a chance at medaling in her current state. Let's hope for the best on her part.
